Now that the first refugees are “home” with thousands more being flown in by the end of February, it may be more auspicious to offer those you care about a “Safe 2016” rather than the traditional “Happy New Year” this holiday season

Don’t worry be happy, Justin’s Jihadis could be here

A New Orleans resident whose husband was allegedly ordered by police to delete photos he had taken of Syrian “refugees”, sent out an email yesterday, asking: “Is anyone in Canada experiencing the same thing?” The answer is “No, not in Canada”, where mostly politicians and government employees showed up to welcome the first planeload of refugee arrivals last Friday--and they already grabbed the picture they wanted the world to see. Aside from the politicians and their employees, only a handful of average Canadians gathered at the international gate at Pearson, bearing signs and gifts.
Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC) photos, sent round by the Internet, depicted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and Toronto Mayor John Tory, as holier-than-thou Liberals and Canada’s top three ‘Patron Saints of Migrants’. The message their pals in the media got across on their behalf was as plain as day: How heart-throb handsome is Canada’s new prime minister, who with his wife, Sophie, is already featured in this month’s Vogue magazine! How generous and selfless of him to personally show up at the airport for the arrival of the first of 25,000 coming refugees--personally bestowing a winter coat on each and every one of them to boot! Repeat after CBC, bigoted Canadians: All do-gooders in the present day are Liberals returned to public office! Nowhere in the media script was it ever mentioned that it was the outgoing Stephen Harper government, who long ago arranged for the “refugees” who arrived last weekend, or that while the new Liberal government had them flown to Canada on military flights, “Just-in time” for Christmas, it was largely thanks to private donors, including churches that allowed them to come “home” to Canada. Trudeau was all selfie-ready smiles when he told the immigrants, “You are safe at home now”.

The media-hyped greeting of Trudeau, Wynne and Tory serves as a Christmas card sent to Canadians by three Good King Wenceslaus-like amigos. Canadian winter can bring as much snow as what the king had to walk through step by step, to leave footprints for his flagging page, but as far as is known, there were no boots or mittens given to the refugees, and no telling where some of them may wander off to after leaving their port of entry. During the holiday season, most Canadians are in Christmas spirit mode, blissfully unaware of any likely coming dangers. All is not only safe but hunky-dory because with the help of President Barack Obama’s election campaign heavyweights, they have installed a heartthrob in the PMO, held for more than a decade by that far more typical Canadian, budget-balancing Stephen Harper. Even with some Canadians cutting out his high gloss picture from Vogue, it’s all but guaranteed that Trudeau’s good looks won’t count for much when reality comes crashing through. The reality for Canada is no different than what it is in the country next door or in faraway Europe, where jihadists are slipping in among the refugees and preparing to attack the host countries taking them in. The only difference here is that some potential terrorists may be spotted sporting new winter jackets. Prime ministers with good looks addicted to Selfies are rarely ever honest enough to show their plebes reality, especially when the $1-billion-a-year-taxpayer-funded CBC make them their pets. But Canada Free Press reader David Fieldstone drops us a hint of possible coming reality after a recent visit by a nurse friend of the family:
“A nurse we know came to show us her 8 month, 8 toothed granddaughter,” Fieldstone writes. “We got to talking about Trudeau's immigration policies. “Marsha mentioned that OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) is a mess.  She was livid about the lavish health  care treatment being given to the MidEastern arrivals.  When they arrive they are given complete medical check ups, which includes X-rays, hospitalization if necessary, therapy, counselling, dental, medicines and prosthetics. “She said I have patients who have worked and paid taxes all their working life, some lost their jobs due to out sourcing etc. and some just fell into hard times.  “Marsha said: I have to fight like hell to get these people the treatment and medical care they require. A person who doesn't have a family doctor is out  of luck if they come down with anything serious. The waiting list for treatment is unacceptable. There is something  wrong when a citizen of Canada has to take a back seat to someone  who hasn't contributed a thing to the development of this country. “Then also she said, 'How do you think I'm going to feel when I'm called to attend these people, knowing that they got, and will  continue to get, preferential treatment over the very people I'm fighting like hell to help.'”
Meanwhile, no cops were at the airport demanding that citizens taking pictures of refugees immediately delete them, mainly because Trudeau would NEVER allow ordinary citizens to hog any of the limelight away from him. Now that the first refugees are “home” with thousands more being flown in by the end of February, it may be more auspicious to offer those you care about a “Safe 2016” rather than the traditional “Happy New Year” this holiday season.
