Getting Online Deals For Christmas With A VPN

Some websites and search engines track your online activity to gather useful information about you, then use it to help determine what to charge you for products and services based on your past purchases, geographical location, browsing habits, and other online activity. That means you might pay more for hotels, entertainment, or products based on your location and other personal information.

It’s called price discrimination, and it’s more common than you may think. Fortunately, Private Internet Access (PIA) VPN can help you avoid it.

(We partnered with PIA to get you a subscription for 82% off + twor months free.)

Getting Around Geographical Restrictions

Copyrights, licensing restrictions, and even anti-theft measures meant to secure your accounts can prevent you from accessing the services you use online every day if you travel outside your country. You shouldn’t have to miss using the sites and services you love just because your physical location changes, yet that’s exactly what might happen — unless you use a VPN.

Private Internet Access (PIA) VPN can help you avoid restrictions that prevent you from using the services you need if you travel for work, go on vacation, study abroad, or relocate.

An Ottawa-born hero passes away

The brief obituary for John Reynold Bray, published recently in the Ottawa Citizen, stated that he was a veteran of the Second World War. I was curious about the military service of this gentleman.

Bray was born in Ottawa in 1920, the son of John and Agnes Bray. He enlisted in the RCAF on Nov. 30, 1940 as an equipment assistant. He transferred to aircrew and commenced training in April 1942 and graduated as a bomb aimer on May 1, 1943. He was promoted to Sergeant on June 18, 1942 and proceeded overseas on June 29, 1943 to #434 Squadron. He was commissioned on April 28, 1944 and promoted to Pilot Officer.

How to Get Around Trudeau's Bill C-18 with A VPN

The enactment of Canada's C-18 Bill has prompted tech giants like Google and Meta to cease the publication of Canadian news. This measure is aimed at avoiding the obligation to pay fees whenever they display links to Canadian news sources or showcase their content. With Google maintaining an overwhelming share of Canada's search engine market at over 92%, locals are now unable to access news through this platform. However, C-18 is not the sole legislative restraint affecting online liberties for Canadians.
