Make Ready for the Christ

Make ready for the Christ whose smile, like lightning, sets free the song of everlasting glory that now sleeps, in your paper flesh, like dynamite --Thomas Merton (1916-1968) "The Victory" (from "A Man In The Divided Sea") You cannot have too much respect for yourself. You cannot have too much confidence in yourself. You cannot claim too much for yourself. But remember that you must realize these things as being the expression of God in you, and not independent qualities of your own. You must also accept them as being true for every other human being.

So Just How Stupid Are Liberals Anyway?

Seeing as how liberal stupidity is a given, the question becomes one of degree--just how stupid are liberals? Are they off-the-charts stupid, or simply low-wattage-dim-bulb stupid?

Pity-pot Perception

Pity-pot Perception
Self-pity is easily the most destructive of the non-pharmaceutical narcotics; it is addictive, gives momentary pleasure and separates the victim from reality.--John W. Garner (1912-2002) I choose to live in a present reality of constructive action, and envision a future of enlightened possibilities. So I have no time for race-baiters and grievance hustlers who obsess over a long gone past. Their efforts to stoke the fires of bitterness and hatred disgust me.

Fanning the Flames of Envy, Greed, and Hatred

And now the spiritually warped, morally stunted, lying sacks of s--t that comprise the Far Left are prepared to once more immerse millions in bloodshed in order to satiate their ego-driven lusts and fulfill their perverted delusions. All of you left-wing dolts...are obviously nothing but strident anti-American freedom hating a--holes. # each and every one of you traitorous dips--ts, from Boston to San Francisco, from sea to shining sea! --It's the Illegality, Stupid

SEALs and Usama bin Laden

SEALs and Usama bin Laden
Many in the community are...infuriated, [O'Neill] says. "There's a shitstorm around this." --Rob O'Neill referring to SEALs going public, "The Man Who Killed Osama bin Laden...Is Screwed" "Frankly, a week ago Sunday, in the Situation Room, we all agreed that we would not release any operational details from the effort to take out bin Laden. That all fell apart on Monday--the next day." --Then Defense Secretary, Robert Gates 5/12/11

Liberia, the Lone Wolf-pack, and D'Souza's "America" the Movie

Liberia, the Lone Wolf-pack, and D'Souza's America the Movie
Because of Ebola the country of Liberia is much in the news lately, yet most people remain unaware that the US has something of a vested interest in Liberia. It is, for better or worse (mostly worse), America's only colony on the African continent--former colony I should say.

Ebola and Criminal Negligence

Ebola and Criminal Negligence
Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he [Mohammed] humbled it to the dust by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind.

It Will Take a Revolution

It Will Take a Revolution
Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history...the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom--Lucifer -- Saul Alinsky (1909-1972) Dedication to "Rules For Radicals" How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! -- Isaiah 14:12

Liberal Culture Keeps Girls in Bondage to Muslim Sex Slave Ring

Liberal Culture Keeps Girls in Bondage to Muslim Sex Slave Ring
"It isn't so much that liberals are ignorant. It's just that they know so many things that aren't so." --Ronald Reagan (1911-2004), 40th POTUS They were the ones turning a blind eye to the rape. And why were they turning a blind eye? Because of the ethnicity of the rapists. ...The girls were abandoned only partly because so many made a cowardly choice to let a crime go unreported when they could not think of a "non-racist" way to describe it. They were also abandoned because of the way that these agencies tried to do good.

Unsung Benghazi Heroes

Kris "Tanto" Paronto, member of the six man Annex Security Team in Benghazi on 9/11/12 After a delay of nearly 30 minutes, the security team headed to the besieged consulate without orders. They asked their CIA superiors to call for armed air support, which never came.

SOCOM Change of Command

On December 4, 1783, at Fraunces Tavern in New York City, General Washington bade farewell to his officers. His words still convey the emotionalism of the change of command: "With a heart full of love and gratitude, I now take leave of you. I most devoutly wish that your later days may be as prosperous and happy as your former ones have been glorious and honorable."

Progressive Chains and "Liberating Tolerance"

Progressive Chains and Liberating Tolerance
Slow and methodical over the last century was the march of socialists / communists / fascists / progressives / collectivists / liberals (they have so many names it is even hard to keep up with that), until Obama's election when the gears went into overdrive.

What, Me Worry?

The Left is a religion. It looks away from the obvious sins of its leaders the way earlier generations of churchgoers sometimes averted their gaze from the misdeeds of their own.

The "Lone Survivor" Litmus Test

Let's talk reality: When the film shows jihadists storming into a village and lopping off a man's head, it understates their atrocities. I don't know what has to be done to penetrate the thick skulls of the willfully ignorant, but the Taliban and their al-Qaeda allies are evil to a degree Americans (obviously) have trouble comprehending.
