Would the Radical Anti-Religious Zealots in Indiana have Protested Native Americans so vociferously?

I've read several articles today as related to Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) and its applications. Interestingly, the history of this act is rooted in Native American religious practices and the protections of same. Numerous groups (liberal, conservative, evangelical, Christian, Jewish) came together in support of protecting religious rights from government intrusions and the act passed (virtually unanimously), being signed into law by Clinton.

Bastille Day is NOT an American Holiday!

For all the Americans celebrating Bastille Day today, you desperately need to perform some due diligence and learn about the history of this despicable day. For one, how many of those celebrating Bastille Day know the base reason, which drove that French mob to storm the Bastille in the first place?

Obama begins his attack – The gullible minions continue drinking the Kool-Aid

As Americans inch ever closer to November and the single most important presidential election quite possibly since Abraham Lincoln – one which shall once again (hopefully) right this nation’s ship in so very many ways – Barack Hussein Obama has of late begun spinning his yarn, attempting to smear the man who appears to be the Republican Party’s viable candidate. So blind to Obama’s ways are his minions – these lemmings to include the “main-stream-media” – that these unfortunate folks continue their refusal to vet their anointed one.

Newt 2012 – Remembering What America Needs

Since inauguration day January 20th, 2009 – when the appalling efforts of this nation’s liberal media succeeded in handing the presidency over to the most anti-American, Constitution-despising elected official in history – Conservative-voting Americans have awakened to numerous cold, hard facts. George H.W. Bush marked the end of Conservatism’s ascendency via a disastrous term riddled with tax increases – counter to now-infamous campaign promises – as well as deals with the Soviets that reversed decades of gains by Reagan. These disasters, among others, led to two terms of progressive liberalism, massive spending, and runaway entitlements.

Ron Paul Endorses Heroin – A Study in American History

Arguably THE most progressive Republican prior to the arrival of George W Bush, President Theodore Roosevelt in 1905 vetoed a plan laid out by then-Civil Governor to the Philippines, William H Taft. Having recently acquired the Philippines via The Treaty of Paris at the conclusion of the Spanish-American War, Taft was appointed to his position towards the effective establishing of a Filipino-led, independent, self-governing Philippines. Taft’s plan, subsequently vetoed, called for the reinstating of the Spanish opium monopoly, a plan that would have established Congress essentially as opium merchants. Taft would have seen the American government collecting revenue via the marketing of opium to the merchants of the barbiturate, similarly as had the Spanish colonial government, had Roosevelt not intervened.

Osama Bin Laden Dead

How can the greatest moment for the memory of millions killed on 911 also be the juiciest talking point for the liberal media in recent history? My soul, immediately lifted, is as deflated as ever…

Contrasts in Courage—The Boehner / O’Neill Challenge

Conservative talk-radio here in north Texas this morning aired a story introducing Representative Sam Johnson of Texas's 3rd congressional district. This week marking the anniversary of various national as well as international milestones--first shots of the Civil War, first human in orbit, for example--Rep. Johnson also has a milestone worthy of remembrance. This week marks the 45th anniversary of Johnson's shoot down over North Vietnam, which began 2500 days in captivity for him, most of which he spent in solitary confinement. This week-end, on April 17th, Representative Sam Johnson will launch the Congressional Veteran Commendation (CVC) program to honor fellow military personnel from his district here in Texas at an inspirational service to be held at Canyon Creek Baptist Church in Richardson. His service and devotion to country, state and citizenry are greatly appreciated.

Now That We’ve Reach This Point – What’s The REAL Fear If The Government Shuts Dow

The political as well as economic environment today is far removed from the days of previous shut-downs. In the mid-90s, the rare similarities to today were a Democrat in office dueling with Conservatives in Congress on the heels of liberal spending and failure to produce government budgets. What has changed is the birth of the Tea Party, a citizenry highly disgruntled with the man in the Oval Office (to include his own constituency), and a deficit as well as national debt unmatched in the history of the country.

Thoughts on Conservatives, conservatism, Sarah Palin and “The Moderates”

This note was born from my rebuttal to a former facebook connection’s lambasting of Governor Palin wherein he (and several of his “friends”) critiqued a POLITICO article — favorably — which targeted Palin as “…a problem, a disease for the Conservative movement…” Conservative principles, with respects to how a politician speaks, are best summed up by the actions and words of the most recent modern father of Conservatism, Ronald Reagan. Reagan taught us, through word as well as deed, that Republicans live by the 11th Commandment: Thou shalt not speak ill of anyone in the GOP. He took that creed to heart when campaigning against Ford, a gentleman’s pledge not reciprocated by president-Ford-to-be.

Obama’s latest Obfuscations—This is no longer pandering, this is EXPLOITATION

In a continuation of a story that aired in these pages back in June of 2010 readers are reminded that Obama enacted constitutionally unsupportable as well as downright appalling and autarchic measures last year in a desperate move to shore up votes not only for his 2012 campaign but likewise to bolster support for the progressive Congressional elections in the November 2010 races.

Isolationists: the latest breed of NEOs ~ Were the Barbary Pirates fairy tale characters?

“There’s no argument over the choice between peace and war. But there’s only one guaranteed way you can have peace; and you can have it in the next second: surrender. Admittedly there’s a risk in any course we follow other than this, but every lesson that history tells us [proves] that the greater risk lies in appeasement. And this is the specter our well-meaning Liberal friends refuse to face: that their policy of accommodation is appeasement; and it gives no choice between peace and war. [Would you] rather live on your knees than die on your feet?”

14 and a half Dozen Deaf RINOs ~ Obama’s Ticket to Ride

138 Congressional Republicans voted, December 16, 2010 to pass the disastrous “New Tax Deal”; a deal with Obama and his team of progressives that will add $858 Billion in additional debt to the national deficit. There are no plusses so positive as to outweigh the multitude of negatives populating this Bill; a Bill now signed, sealed and delivered, having made its way onto Barack’s desk for approval. No amount of temporary extensions of Bush era tax relief efforts (for all brackets) should be considered worthy of the economy eviscerating spending this Bill allows; spending tacked on to this “Deal” by Obama and Co. as they held the nation hostage in the name of “compromise”.

Lame Duck Let-Downs keep rollin’ on!

As McConnell, Boehner and the rest of this current Lame-Duck GOP conglomerate muddle about, "compromising" day-in and day-out with the Progressives to the eternal detriment of the nation, one fact is becoming painfully clear: either the old boys on the hill to the "right" didn't receive the memo clearly blasted their way on November 2, or they've conveniently converted to reading by Braille.

Lame-Duck Let-Downs ~ “We the People” didn’t vote for this!

"Lame-duck": what an interesting moniker for a period of time referring to the exiting of one ruling Congressional Party and the ushering in of another. Conjuring up visions of caricatures quacking about with their bill set askew by a rifleman's trusty shot, the term in reality is meant to refer to ducks being too weak or feeble to keep pace with their own flock, thus rendering themselves susceptible to attack by lurking prey.

Peddling Articles or Promoting a move to Moderate? ~ Krauthammer’s latest gaffe

Over the past several months in particular Charles Krauthammer, M.D., a Harvard educated, Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for the Washington Post, whose syndicated articles appear in magazines and papers across the country -- and who is also a frequent guest on Fox News -- has been on the minds of far right Conservatives.

These are the times that try men’s souls!

Obama has spent the past week touring India, Indonesia, and beyond, in what promised (threatened) to be one of the most expensive tax-payer funded excursions yet embarked upon by the “King” of America. The mid-terms “shellacked” number 44 and his party, with the voice of the People clearly shouting from the pews that we had endured enough of the force feeding.

Too many high sounding words ~ GOP top brass forget the Women who brought ‘em

From "John Adams ~ by David McCullough"
"You cannot be, I know, nor do I wish to see you, an inactive spectator.... We have too many high sounding words, and too few actions that correspond with them."
With these written words, one of America's most important First-Ladies to be ~ Abigail Adams ~ would address her husband John; expressing through one of her many letters to Adams her understanding and shared desire for his work towards the saving of the Republic known as America.
