The immoral goals of Palestinianism

Palestinianism has two goals. Its immediate goal is a Palestinian state under the PLO, based on the 1949 armistice lines, comprised of all of Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) and “eastern Jerusalem,” and the “right of return” for millions of Arabs living in UNRWA towns and camps, and millions of others around the world. The Gaza Strip would remain under Hamas. Neither is, or would be democratic; both support terrorism. Its long-term goal is the elimination of Israel, explicitly stated in the PLO Covenant and Hamas Charter.

A Realistic Two-State Solution

A Realistic Two-State SolutionA Palestinian state already exists. It’s called Jordan. There is no need for another one. The Oslo Accords removed the “Jordanian option” from the range of possible alternatives. Instead, Yasser Arafat, the PLO, and the Palestinian Authority (PA) were installed as rulers of what was intended to be a self-governing “entity” west of the Jordan River.

The EU-PA/PLO strategy to destroy Israel

The EU-PA/PLO strategy to destroy IsraelThe European Union and the Palestinian Authority have developed a plan to destroy Israel; it’s called, “European Joint Strategy in support of Palestine (EJS),” and the “Palestinian Authority National Policy Agenda (PANPA).” According to the PANPA, their mission is to “reassert full Palestinian sovereignty over the whole of its territory on the 1967 borders; to end Israel’s illegal, methodical and continuing expropriation of Palestinian land, resources and water; to lift the protracted siege of Gaza while ensuring a geographical link with the West Bank; to cease and reverse Israel’s calculated attempts to dismember east Jerusalem from the rest of Palestine; and to dismantle the illegal separation wall that entraps tens of thousands of Palestinians.

The EU’s proxy war against Israel

International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) President Peter Maurer (L) shakes hands with Hamas Gaza Chief Yehya Al-Sinwar during their meeting in Gaza City September 5, 2017. (photo credit: REUTERS)The most potent non-military threat to Israel’s existence is the opposition to Jewish communities in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights by the international community, led by the European Union. The EU is the largest single donor to the Palestinians – more than a half-billion euros annually. It funds over two dozen anti-Israel propaganda organizations (NGOs) dedicated to demonizing Israel – over €6 million annually. In addition, these NGOs also receive millions from individual European countries. The EU is the largest contributor to UNRWA, which is dedicated to Israel’s demise. The EU supported US president Barack Obama’s “deal” with Iran to produce weapons of mass destruction and supports “non-military” organizations run by or associated with Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria. And the EU is one of the largest contributors to the Hamas regime in the Gaza Strip.

THE EUROPEAN UNION COMMISSION’S WAR AGAINST ISRAEL

The EUC is the largest donor to UNRWA, a terrorist-supporting, anti-Israel and antisemitic UN organizatioAccording to the European Union Commission’s website, during the last decade the EUC has given over two billion euros to Palestinians in the “West Bank” and the Gaza Strip. This does not include extra payments for health, welfare and education, and legal services to assist claims against Israel. Additionally, the EUC is funding illegal Arab building in Area C, which is under Israeli control via the authority of the IDF and its civilian branch, COGAT. This includes assistance to Palestinian Authority residents who infiltrate into Area C and build illegal homes in Arab villages.

ISRAELI LEFTISTS AND ‘THE OCCUPATION'

ISRAELI LEFTISTS AND ‘THE OCCUPATION'With plans to advance building more homes for Jews in Judea and Samaria (the “West Bank”) and US President Donald Trump’s proposal to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict about to be revealed, why are Israeli leftists still obsessed with “ending the occupation” and promoting a Palestinian state: the “two-state-solution?” Although Israeli leftists may have ethical and moral motivations, their suggestions to capitulate have no practical or reasonable application. They endanger Israel and support efforts to demonize and vilify the Jewish state and promote antisemitism.

THE PALESTINIAN WAR OF ATTRITION

THE PALESTINIAN WAR OF ATTRITIONBefore treating the symptoms of a disease, one must understand what caused it. Writing in The Jerusalem Post on July 12, in an article titled "Lessons from Israel's most forgotten war," Amotz Asa-El offers an insightful explanation.

SHOWDOWN AT THE TEMPLE MOUNT

Strange as it may seem, the current rioting by Arabs in Jerusalem may be a blessing in disguise. First, it will force the government to assert its sovereign authority over the Temple Mount.

WHY THE ‘TWO-STATE SOLUTION’ HASN’T WORKED, AND CAN’T

Much has been written about the “two state solution” (TSS) or “two states for two peoples” (TSTP) as the path to resolving the conflict between Israel and Arab and Muslim countries and Palestinians, but at the same time there appears to be little understanding of why it consistently fails.

MAKING BDS KOSHER: THE NEW MORALITY

The Boycott, Divest, Sanctions (BDS) movement has two aspects. One applies to Israel and Israelis; the elimination of the state and genocide. The other applies to Jews who live in Judea and Samaria (the “West Bank”), eastern Jerusalem and Golan – “the settlements.” The first calls for ending the “occupation” that began when Israel was established (the “Nakba”); the second calls for ending the “occupation” that began in 1967.

Amona and Israel’s hobbled sovereignty

The destruction of fifty-one Jewish homes in Ofra and Amona in February by order of the High Court raises questions about Israel’s claim to be “the nation-state of the Jewish people.” The evictions made no sense, and, although Prime Minister Netanyahu signed an agreement on behalf of the government with the residents of Amona to provide alternative housing in a new community, he has failed to honor his commitment. The families remain in distress, helpless and homeless.

The Occupation: beginning and end

The most difficult accusation against Israel is that it is “occupying Palestinian territory,” thereby preventing “Palestinian self-determination” and violating humanitarian rights. It’s the ‘elephant in the room,’ the core of anti-Israel BDS campaigns, fueling anti-Israel and anti-Jewish hatred and violence and promotes opposition to settlements. It challenges the legitimacy of Israeli sovereignty and the rights of the Jewish people in Eretz Yisrael.

Iran Wins, Palestinians Lose

Containing Iran is no longer practical or possible. Obama has fulfilled his promise to change the world. The State of Israel has been abandoned and whatever regional stability undermined. That is Obama’s legacy.

Waiting for the Messiah: the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Origins of Christianity

Who was the first Christian? What are the origins of Christianity? Most people would say, “Jesus.” What if that were not true? What if Jesus and at least some of his disciples had been influenced by or were followers of the Essenes -- the people who copied, collected and wrote the scrolls at the beginning of the 2nd century BCE?

Arab land claims; are they valid?

Since the mid-19th century, acquisition and distribution of land and property rights throughout the Ottoman Empire were organized in Law Codes which were continued under British-mandate rule and were recognized and incorporated into Israeli administrative practice in Judea and Samaria.

Why blame John Kerry?

US Secretary of State John Kerry’s recent comment that Israeli settlements are “illegitimate” (a form of illegality) is not new; it is the position of the State Department and the international community. Kerry’s remark is based on United Nations General Assembly resolutions, which in turn are based on decisions of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the official “guardian” of the Fourth Geneva Convention (1949) (FGC).

Are settlements worth it?

Opponents of Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria (“settlements”) charge that they drain our economy, diverting funds that should be spent within the 1949 Armistice (“Green”) Lines. They accuse the government of giving settlers unwarranted discounts and subsidies in the form of building schools and clinics, infrastructure, such as roads, and providing security.

Releasing terrorists: In whose interest?

Announcing an agreement to release 104 of the most blood-thirsty Arab prisoners in Israeli jails in return for Palestinian Authority promises to show up at the latest merry-go-round negotiations, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu bemoaned the “agonizing difficulty” of making such a decision.

Isaiah Nation

The State of Israel has many achievements to its credit. It has provided a refuge for persecuted Jews, has proverbially “made the desert bloom” and has contributed many scientific and medical breakthroughs. As authors Saul Singer and Dan Senor highlight in their best-seller, Start-up Nation, Israel is famous for its phenomenal incubation of innovative industry.
