Obamas looking to buy a $15 million vacant lot on Martha's Vineyard

Conservatives generally believe that the accumulation and maintenance of wealth is a good thing. We like money, we admire success, and we don't view those who've achieved a significant fortune with contempt. We're aware that well-funded bank accounts provide employment, stimulate the economy, and keep the country humming along.

Morning Joe: 'What happened? Dems have no message, no leaders' - here's why he's wrong

Today on Morning Joe, hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski led their panel in an exercise. It began with a summation of the Dems' current status as a drastically weakened bi-coastal organization that can't seem to gain traction in "flyover country," and it ended with oft-repeated concerns that the left has no leadership and no message.

FBI rejects FOIA request for Hillary documents, claiming there's not enough 'public interest' to warrant release

Oh sure, you THINK you have a vested interest in seeing FBI documents related to investigations of Hillary Clinton's infamous email server, but you don't. Or, if you do, it's not a sufficient interest. At least, that's the word from the FBI which is currently refusing to comply with a 2016 FOIA request because - get this - no one has demonstrated a public interest in releasing the material.

Cajun Navy springs into action to help FEMA efforts in Houston

In Houston, the rain continues to fall, the flood waters continue to rise, and thousands remain trapped with no viable exit routes available. Tens of thousands are either in, or are heading for, shelters and stranded citizens throughout the region are in desperate need of rescue. FEMA has mobilized its resources but acknowledges that it will take more than even their vast federal resources to get the job done.

North Korea launches missile over Japan - Trump says 'all options are on the table'

A few weeks ago, after some rather pointed threats from President Donald Trump, North Korea backed away from its alleged plan to launch a missile attack on Guam. Weeks of sabre-rattling (and left-wing panic) ended with the Nork's portly dictator blinking first, and slinking off to sulk. Last night, the world's respite came to an end.

Morning Joe notices the DNC can't raise any money - 'what does that say about the Democratic Party?'

You would think, if President Trump is as despised as Democrats claim, they'd be enjoying a resurgence. The faithful should be extremely energized, and the money should be pouring in as they build up a war chest designed to support their party's efforts in 2018 and 2020. That's not happening. The DNC is running on fumes and they're having a hard time convincing anyone to donate.

NYPost: Looks like Wasserman Schultz's jailed IT staffers were selling sensitive and classified stolen info to Russian intelligence

You're probably aware that, on Thursday, a federal Grand Jury indicted former Wasserman Schultz IT aide Imran Awan on four felony counts. Most agree that the charges - which include bank fraud, making false statements, and conspiracy - are just a placeholder. The investigation into a much larger set of crimes is ongoing and it's virtually impossible to find anyone who thinks these few meager charges will be the end of the story.

Pelosi calls on Paul Ryan to remove all Confederate statues from Capitol - but they weren't a problem when she was Speaker?

At one time, Nancy Pelosi was a very powerful Speaker of the House. Her tenure ended as her party decided to embrace its worst instincts - a move that eventually reduced it to a small, marginalized, bi-coastal collection of far-left crackpots. They have little or no traction in most of the country, and they're at their lowest level of overall power since before the Great Depression.
