If you’ve read anything I’ve written over the course of the last decade, you’re know that I was not a fan of Barack Obama’s presidency. Precious little came from his tenure that any conservative would support and, on the rare occasion that he got something right, it was small potatoes. The big stuff, like large scale legislation and foreign policy, was an absolute, unmitigated, mess. I couldn’t wait for the day he left office.

Tax cuts killed you, the repeal of net neutrality killed you, Gorsuch killed you, immigration laws killed you, the end of the individual mandate killed you, Russian meddling killed you, and the end of Michelle Obama’s lunch program might have killed you depending on your age.
A few months ago, I delivered the bad news. Those of you who wanted to take your emotional support tarantula on an airplane were in for a rude awakening. Airlines were trimming the list of acceptable support animals, and 8-legged bugs were not going to make the cut.

For months, the Democrats have been rummaging through the personal and professional life of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Their goal is to uncover something, anything, that would empower their efforts to deny him a seat on the bench. Make no mistake, this is a party-wide effort and you can bet the DNC has its “top men” studying the problem.

Watching Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez navigate the world of politics is like watching a slow-motion train wreck. It’s loud, it’s disastrous, it’s ongoing, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. So, you just do your best to shield yourself as it grinds down to its inevitable conclusion.
The idea of splitting California into a group of three smaller states generated visceral reactions on both sides, but it was always a long shot. In fact, “long shot” probably isn’t the right term. “pipe dream” is probably more accurate. Still, despite the odds, there was some excitement when the plan – backed by billionaire venture capitalist Tim Draper – seemingly made its way onto the ballot November ballot.
Not so fast, Ocasio-Cortez. You may be the current top dog on the crazy-statements leaderboard, but that doesn’t mean the old guard is willing to go down without a fight. Nancy Pelosi is still out there saying all kinds of ridiculous stuff, and she’s not about to let you hog all the glory.

The Democrats’ 2020 presidential field is shaping up to be real political clown car. So far, we’ve seen speculation swirling around Creepy Uncle Joe, Deval Patrick, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, Fauxcahontas, Kirsten Gillibrand, Cory Booker, Ex-Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, Eric Holder, and Bill Kristol.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is almost certainly going to win in November. Barring some unforeseen political catastrophe that drives her out of the race, she’s a shoo-in. That’s fine with me. Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters won’t be in office forever, so Republicans will need a new unhinged radical to pick up the left’s crazy-blather mantle. If her recent interviews are any indication, she’s more than willing and qualified to fill their shoes.
For whatever reason, former child star turned reality-show host has emerged as a major voice on the left. She’s a constant Trump critic, an obnoxiously vocal gun control advocate, and someone who can be counted on to support whatever the crazy left-wing cause du jour may be. She currently has a staggering Twitter following of 3.3 Million people. So, when you say “who cares what she thinks” bear in mind: as hard as it is to believe, a lot of people do.
You’ve heard it all before. Trump’s racist, Trump’s evil, Trump’s hates …well… pretty much everyone. That’s been the non-stop drumbeat of CNN’s 24/7 news coverage since before Hillary Clinton collapsed (figuratively, of course) during the run-up to the 2016 election.
Once upon a time, Facebook was the hot new social media kid on the block. It was a great way to connect with friends, engage in your hobbies, and follow political figures, talk show hosts, and politicians. It worked, everyone loved it, and all was right with the world.
Deval Patrick is just one of those names that won’t go away. The former Massachusetts Governor has become a staple of the Sunday morning news shows, he appears regularly at Democratic campaign events, and he crops up in virtually every discussion of the Democrats’ 2020 and 2024 plans. He is, to put it bluntly, positioning himself as a major player in his party’s future.
