Caitlyn Jenner looking to take Dianne Feinstein's Senate seat? Good!

That's right, it's conceivable (if unlikely) that we now live in a world where the next batch of freshmen Senators could conceivably feature Kid Rock and Caitlyn Jenner. ...And they would both be on the Republican side of the aisle. I don't know what, but surely that must be a sign of something.

Rand Paul: McConnell doesn't have the votes to pass healthcare bill ...again

As Dan pointed out earlier, there are a lots of conspiracy theories floating around about John McCain's surgery. Personally, I have trouble believing John McCain somehow suddenly scheduled a procedure - where someone is drilling into his skull - just to play games with a healthcare vote. Even for an obstructionist, that seems ...extreme.

Kid Rock issues statement that inches him closer to a real Senate run, but...

Yesterday, I said I might have to eat my words on the "Kid Rock runs for Senate" story. I was pretty sure it was a publicity stunt designed to put the spotlight on a forthcoming release. I'm still not entirely convinced that this thing is real, but the Michigan rapper did release a statment yesterday that inches the needle twoard the idea that this might be real.

Sorry, but you shouldn't buy into the 'Kid rock is running for Senate' story

It was tough to miss yesterday's revelation that Kid Rock was setting up a run for the Michigan Senate. Political sites, entertainment sites, and even local news sites were overrun with "Kid Rock sets sights on politics" stories. You'll notice the tale it did not appear here, despite the fact that two of the three regular writers reside in the Wolverine State.

MSNBC feminism expert: Ivanka can't be a feminist because her 'girlie dresses' are 'patriarchal' & send message that women are 'property'

Over the years, we've seen a lot of crazy things on MSNBC. We've seen tampon earrings, claims that your children belong to the collective, Joe Scarborough pretending to be a Republican, Keith Olbermann's career implosion, and calls for people to replace their private in-home elevators with staircases. If there's something crazy to be said, there's someone on MSNBC crazy enough to say it.

DNC Chair Tom Perez can't seem to say who the 'voice' or 'face' of the Democratic Party is

If wandering down the street in a vagina hat while shouting "hey hey ho ho" won elections, the Democrats would have nothing to worry about. Everyone acknowledges that leftists - who seem to have an awful lot of free time during what are normally work hours - are great at putting on a show. Marching, protesting, and rioting have become staples of the Dems' base. Unfortunately, outrage hasn't equated to votes.

Report: 'More than half' of James Comey's infamous 'personal memos' contained classified material

As you'll no doubt recall, during former FBI Director James Comey's congressional testimony he claimed that he “understood" his memos to be nothing more than his "recollection recorded of my conversation with the president." Comey said that, "As a private citizen," he thought it was "important to get it out.” So, he decided to leak at least one of his memos to the press.

Pat Toomey says New Senate GOP healthcare bill is coming tonight. Can this one get to 50 votes?

When we last saw Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA), he was telling us that the GOP didn't ready a bill to replace ObamaCare because they didn't think Trump would win. When he did, they were caught with their pants down. Now, with the most recent attempt seemingly dead in the water, he's promising yet another bill will make its debut tonight. If you're keeping count, this will be the third post-election stab at repealing, or "repealing and replacing," the Affordable Care Act.

MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell praises Putin for answering questions

"Putin is evil. Putin is the boogeyman. We should be at war with Putin or, at the very least, we should be hammering him with sanctions so severe they'd trigger a newer, better, more intense cold war. Putin. Putin, Putin, Putin. Russia all the things."

Ted Cruz reiterates Trump's call to 'repeal THEN replace' if no one can agree on immediate replacement

Back in March, I argued that we shouldn't be looking at "repeal and replace." We should be looking at "repeal," full stop. Then we can try to pass some fixes that lower costs, stimulate competition, and address insurance availability for low-income individuals. That was just before the GOP tried - and embarrassingly failed - to pass a "repeal and replace" bill that vitually no one liked.

Pat Toomey says GOP wasn't ready with healthcare ...because they didn't think Trump would win

For some time, I've been arguing that the GOP should have had a plan to repeal ObamaCare ready - and on the President's desk - the week that Donald Trump took office. The ACA's elimination should have been a day one priority, then you could rest of the year working on healthcare fixes and tax reform. I've heard a whole pile of excuses about why that didn't happen and I've never really bought any of them.
