We Were Warned

In 2008, we were warned…. Barack Obama, late of a Black Liberation church, protege of Communist Frank Marshall Davis, buyer of real estate from a convicted felon, and community organizer from a political machine as corrupt and ruthless as any in the country, wasn’t going to be Madison’s alter ego. Beyond the gate of political correctness and white guilt, we expected a rough, if not fatal, four years—but no one – and I mean, NO ONE – called this. That it would be this bad, this unmoored, and that, despite a train of scandals, four would become EIGHT abject years, wasn’t possible.

The Obama press conference — a smug, shameful liar on display

Did you see the latest Obama presser? If so, I’m sorry, because you watched a man who’s made lying an art, his life’s work and legacy, elevating the heretofore shameful practice of degeneracy to levels that could make a polygraph smoke.

American educators are finally taking steps to jail students who use car-trunks to store dangerous pocket-knives on school grounds

THIRTEEN. That’s the number of days 18-year-old Jordon Wiser, of Jefferson, Ohio, spent behind bars because officials at Ashtabula City Technical School, alerted to an on-line message, searched his car, found a knife in the trunk, and called in men who train all their lives to rush into danger. Wiser had cleverly placed the blade in an E.M.T. jacket (part of a “Responder Kit”) and it’s a fine thing they caught him -- for he actually said -- with a straight face! -- that, in the event of an accident, the weapon could be used to slash a seat-belt....

Free at last, free at last: celebrating the right to free-LOAD, at last

Friends, let me begin by congratulating Barack Obama for freeing the American public from the burden of labor that for too long has trapped citizens into slavishly “providing” for themselves and their family. Prior to the Affordable Care Act, far too many Americans, locked in employment, paid a heavy toll for trotting to work each morning, unable to think or act for themselves.

Thanksgiving 2013: ObamaCare-Zombie Survival Guide... OY!!

Friends, I know, it's Thanksgiving, and the LAST thing you want to hear from your tongue-pierced Anthropology major nephew is how unbelievably fantabulous ObamaCare is. Grandma's stuffing is OUT OF THIS WORLD, to be cherished -- no, worshipped; yet the White House, via Organizing For Action, is encouraging the Zombie Faithful to shanghai dinner.

ObamaCare’s Real “War on Women"

OMG, he’s hot! Let’s hope he’s as easy to get as this birth control. My health insurance covers the pill, which means all I have to worry about is getting him between the covers…

ObamaCare: be afraid, be VERY AFRAID

Friends, is it just me or does it seem like stories about ObamaCare and its outlandish roll-out are making Onion News look like objective journalism? I don’t know about you, but I find it absolutely horrifying to think that the same people who turned a website launch into a fiasco that makes North Korea’s School Lunch Program look efficient — I am HORRIFIED that these people want to RUN the U.S. Health Care System.

The White House Press Corps: zero questions for the Zero on ZeroCare

For anyone who missed Zippy Botingles’… excuse me, the president’s – press conference yesterday morning, it can be summarized in one word: BULL. It’s not worth wasting space to summarize it, save to say that he piled lie on top of lie as if he were speaking to people incapable of questioning his audacity.

Wrestling with the I.O.C: a shortsighted, tragic decision

Stunned; stunned, flabbergasted, and fit to be tied — this was (is) my reaction to the International Olympic Committee’s recent decision to drop wrestling as an Olympic sport. Wrestling; not ping-pong, synchronized ribbon-twirling, or badminton–WRESTLING.

Empty rhetoric and meaningless lines: the Obama non-presidency

After Tuesday night's State of the Union (5 down, 3 to go!), nothing has changed: Barack Obama remains a Marxist caricature, his presidency vapid by historical standards, and his leadership style exemplar of fecklessness... You wouldn't know it by the applause in the House chamber, nor by the booming economy that never stopped booming around the Beltway, but this recovery is no recovery outside the skull of Chris Matthews.

The Year 2012… Farce, fiasco, fascism, and faith

Well, now that it’s clear that the Mayans are no better than Dick Morris at predicting the future, I’d like to offer some year end – if not world end – thoughts. As a principled conservative, I’m generally aggrieved at the state of the world, but as a Christian, I’m joyful even in sadness, for sadness comes from worldly equations, and joy from the promise of Eternal Life.

Obama: the same man….

Friends, the man – Barack Obama – telling us that mass shootings are “unacceptable” is the same man who, as an Illinois senator, voted – by himself – to murder viable babies that the abortion doctor failed to kill… He’s the same man who called the Ft. Hood massacre by a Muslim radical “workplace violence,” and told us not to “jump to conclusions”…

Record Low U.S. Birth Rates: canary enter coal mine

Friends, I know, there’s a lot of irony here…. A bird protected under Section 1-c, Rule A4.015 of the Endangered Species Act, and a coal operation shut down by EPA Rule 24-d.547, are being used to sound a warning against national hari-kari. But it’s true that before the advent of Red Diaper Dawn, miners would send birds underground to determine whether the air was safe to breathe. If the canary came back, it was time to head down, but if the canary died – a common occurrence – an official from the EPA would slap a lawsuit on the owners and fine them into bankruptcy on behalf of the Sierra Club.

Thanksgiving 2012: struggling with the “happy” thing

Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving… Hmmm–I thought, this year, if I practiced saying it, it might get easier, but I’m not going to lie–the “happy” part is difficult. I’m not happy with my country at the moment, and I don’t suspect that in the future, I’m going to be breaking into a Snoopy Dance.

What we lost on November 6th

America’s future? Britain’s NHS plays God with care denial

You’re 29 years/old, you have Cystic Fibrosis, you need an expensive drug in order to survive.... The government-run socialized medical system that - by law - must approve drug-requests deems your survival odds insufficient to justify the cost of purchase.... They reject your request.

Ohio by way of Somalia: Dem Fraud Machine gears-up in the Buckeye state

Friends, I really, really hate reporting on left-wing fraud efforts…. One wants to believe in ballot integrity, that this – America – isn’t some 3rd world rathole where juntas miraculously snag 90% of the vote from Shanty City…. But we have to remember, there are Americans who welcome this, and not only welcome it, but work toward destroying election integrity for two reasons: 1) they can’t win on the merits; and 2) they seek the power to destroy liberty by means of acquiring monopolistic power. The left has no virtue, no morals and, as in all things Alinsky, the means justifies the end.

The Campaign Hurricane e-mails: Obama seeks $$, Romney sends prayers

Wow. I never get used to it… As hyper-informed and cognizant of the evil/buffoonery/cravenness of this administration as I am, I never get used to the petty, maladroit, and moronic e-mails with which they pepper their base. No–I’m not part of the base, but my masochistic side subscribes to Obama-blasts, Moochelle-blasts, Messina-Axelrod-Springsteen-Sheryl Crow…. You get the point: masochism. None so painful as this shameless tripe on the eve of a dangerous storm affecting 20% of the U.S. population:
