Solid Rock I stand

The North Wind Blows

That cold North wind bites at my ears and fills my eyes with copious tears. How long shall this cold wind blast? How long will this body last?
It chills me right to the bone and I wonder if I am here alone. Then I remember friends so dear, Who warm my heart for they are near. Oh but that wind is so bitterly cold for these bones have grown so old. My Lord and Savior stands near and with Him I see no fear, For he is the King of Kings and with him my heart sings. So let those North winds blow, and lose the demons from below, The angels of hell be gone, I have the full set of armor on. With Jesus Christ so near, I shall have no reason to fear. The foolish and the simple taunt, and loose demons from their haunt.

Am I to take flight like the bird? No! I am to stand on The Word.. I have already had death at the door, but Christ defeated him for ever more. So it is on the Solid Rock I stand, and mine enemies are on shifting sand. Though Satan may loose the flood, I am covered in The Blood. So let them bellow and snort. Their time is growing short, So let the North winds blast, Those chilling winds will not last. I shall walk in Father's ways, Where night is turned into days. It is He who watches over me, and is my security for an eternity.
