Will the politically based removal of children by bureaucrats find its way to America?

A chill should be running down the backs of Americans today with the revelation that three children from ethnic minority groups have been taken away from their foster parents because the couple support the anti-immigration UK Independence Party (UKIP). “The couple from Yorkshire in northern England said they had been fostering children for seven years but have been told by social workers that they were not suitable because of UKIP’s calls for curbs on immigration to Britain.” (The Daily Mail, Nov. 24, 2012).

“That’s across the pond” and “It can’t happen here” no longer work in Obama’s America. The Obama regime, which throws the race card at all forms of resistance, just got reelected courtesy of 50% of the voting population for a second term to four more years. It gets worse: In England Education Secretary Michael Gove rated the decision to remove the children as “indefensible” and even opposition Labour leader Ed Miliband, whose party runs the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, the local authority responsible for uprooting the children, has called for an urgent investigation into the “very disturbing” claims. In the USA, Republican resistance is not just playing dead, it’s run out of ideas to brain dead status, and for all intents and purposes is now as dead as the proverbial doornail.

Barack Obama went into the presidential election ignoring all resistance from the TEA Party, remaining silent when his in-the-tank mainstream media and Democrat party members hurled heinous insults at their members. In a less than a two-week old reelection victory, any criticism of the Benghazi scandal which claimed the lives of U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three other Americans has been filed under ‘r’ for racism. People who criticize US Ambassador to the UN Susan Rice, who lied when she blamed the Benghazi attack on an obscure anti-Muslim YouTube, are dismissed as “racists”. Britain’s got feisty, never-say-die UKIP leader and European Parliament member Nigel Farage, who has the temerity to call out the European Union Parliament for the disaster it is. Farage, will easily fend off criticism from lame-duck Prime Minister David Cameron who dismisses UKIP as “fruitcakes”, “loonies” and “closet racists”. Farage, called the situation of the children's’ removal "appalling" and "disgraceful". He accused the council of bigotry, insisting that decisions on foster care should be "colour-blind". America’s Farage is the wobbly jelly spine Speaker of the House John Boehner, who, in post election America, has already caved to Obama’s tax hikes and grandly announced himself open to amnesty. In any country the cries of politicians should never trump the cries of innocent children. “Following the outcry, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council announced it would launch an investigation into the actions of its staff. “The couple involved told the Daily Telegraph newspaper they had been "stigmatised and slandered" by the removal of the baby girl, boy and older girl they had been caring for for eight weeks. “The decision came after two officials visited to question them about their membership of UKIP, Britain's fourth-biggest party which campaigns for an end to Britain's membership of the European Union and a freeze on immigration. “The woman, a qualified nursery nurse, said the social worker told her: "We would not have placed these children with you had we known you were members of UKIP because it wouldn't have been the right cultural match". “She asked what UKIP had to do with the decision, "then one of them said, 'Well, UKIP have got racist policies'. The implication was that we were racist." “The identity of the couple, who are in their 50s, has been kept secret to protect the children. “Mr Gove condemned the council for making "the wrong decision in the wrong way for the wrong reasons" and said he would be looking into what happened. “Rotherham council's director of children's services, Joyce Thacker, told BBC radio the children had been placed with the couple as an emergency and it was never meant to be a long-term arrangement. “She added: "These children are not UK children and we were not aware of the foster parents having strong political views. There are some strong views in the UKIP party and we have to think of the future of the children." If political leanings can be accepted as the cause for removal of children from loving parents in Great Britain, think of what could happen in the racially divided U.S., with a president who is an unabashed leader of class warfare with four more years under his belt to complete his agenda.
