Oregon Sheriff tells Biden he’ll refuse to enforce unconstitutional gun laws

According to a story first reported by the AP, Linn County Oregon Sheriff Tim Mueller is none too pleased with the President's intended gun control plans. In fact, he's written a stern letter to Joe Biden informing the Vice President that he will not enforce any gun laws which he feels violate the 2nd Amendment.

“We are Americans,” the Sheriff wrote. “We must not allow, nor shall we tolerate, the actions of criminals, no matter how heinous the crimes, to prompt politicians to enact laws that will infringe upon the liberties of responsible citizens who have broken no laws.” “Any federal regulation enacted by Congress or by executive order of the President offending the constitutional rights of my citizens shall not be enforced by me or by my deputies, nor will I permit the enforcement of any unconstitutional regulations or orders by federal officers within the borders of Linn County Oregon.” Wow. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what you call "brass cojones." Sheriff Mueller told the AP that he "tried to be as respectful as possible, but I also needed to get my point across.” Mission accomplished. The sheriff has been twice elected by the people of his county. Let's hope they continue to realize how lucky they are.
