Where is Congress? Why are they not investigating the Administration?

DHS Rolls in the Tanks

Another brick in the black iron prison. The Department of Homeland Security has purchased almost 2,700 light-armored tanks.
Need I remind everyone of other actions by DHS and fellow bureaucrats in the Obama Administration? Consider: 1.DHS purchased 1.6 billion rounds of hollow point ammunition. Hollow point bullets are not usable for target practice nor in warfare. They serve only one purpose - to kill people. 2.Other agencies have likewise purchased such bullets, including the Social Security Administration and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). 3.The DHS have conducted a series of exercises using Blackhawk helicopters in large urban areas.

Urban warfare drills have been conducted in St. Louis, Minneapolis, Chicago, New York, Houston and a host of other American cities. 4.DHS has a program to fly drones over U.S. cities, spying on American citizens. 5.There are contingency plans to build FEMA camps that look surprisingly like concentration camps - and our government has granted FEMA the authority to impress Americans into involuntary service in the event of a national emergency. 6.The President is pushing hard for gun control legislation, and threatens to implement it with Executive Order if he does not get meaningful limitations. One such limitation is on the number of rounds that a civilian gun can fire. He wants to ban "assault rifles" or other weapons that can compete with the military/DHS. 7.Obama is diligently working against hydraulic fracturing to produce oil, and he is stalling on the Keystone XL pipeline. Control of the supply of gasoline would be huge in controlling the country. 8.The Department of Homeland Security has on more than one occasion issued reports calling Conservatives, pro-lifers, returning military personnel, people who fly the Gadsden Flag, etc. potential domestic terrorists, and has created a watch list of such individuals. 9. Obama has created an internet kill switch. Bear in mind, it was Facebook and other social networking media that allowed the "Arab Spring" protestors to organize their revolutions. The Obama Administration trained the rebels in Egypt on this very tactic They know the power of the internet to promote rebellion against a repressive regime. Hosni Mubarak tried and failed to black out the internet during the uprising. But the internet is primarily based here in America, and Egypt lacked the technical abilities available to America's Commander-in-Chief. One or two such actions could be dismissed as inconsequential, but this list taken together suggests something far more dangerous and overreaching. The possibilities are, as I see it: 1.There is credible intelligence of an immanent threat, and not just a single terrorist episode but an actual invasion or something so catastrophic that the nation's infrastructure will be gone and national cohesion will be jeopardized. An invasion is, uh, unlikely, and it would justify beefing up the military and not the civilian agencies. Perhaps they fear a rogue nuclear attack? One of the most dangerous possibilities is the detonation of a nuclear device above the atmosphere over the continental U.S. The resulting Electromagnetic Pulse could take out the entire electric grid - and everything else, as just about everything we have uses delicate electronics. No working cars, except those built before 1980. No trucks, no trains, no planes, no boats. Chaos would reign, and , according to a Congressional report, at least 80% of the population would die in the first year. There could be other threats; smallpox, an asteroid, the possibility of another Carrington Event. Or, more likely, we will witness a total collapse of the world's financial system, Given the titanic spending this government is engaging in, and given that the rest of the world is inexorably linked to us economically, an American collapse could turn into a worldwide collapse of monumental proportions. If money is worthless how will the people eat? Or... 2. Barack Hussein Obama and the Chicago Gang are not planning to leave office. Remember, Mr. Obama called for a civilian military, one as well funded and equipped as the U.S. military. This seems the more likely scenario, as otherwise he would be funding the National Guard and military. That he is circumventing them - and their oaths to the Constitution of the United States and not the current political head - speaks volumes. What Mr. Obama appears to be doing is creating a private, non-military army for himself, a Brownshirt shocktrooper outfit. He would hope to get the military to follow his orders, but knows he would not get them all, so he wants a private agency, one under his direct control, to do his bidding. Doubt that assertion? Well, Mr. Obama has a litmus test for his military commanders, asking them if they would fire on U.S. citizens. However one chooses to look at this, the fact is the U.S. government is not being straight with her citizens. Either there is a cataclysmic disaster about to occur or the President intends to seize power. There are really no other options here. And, one must ask, where is Congress? Why are they not investigating the Administration? And if we are approaching some sort of disaster, why did the Obama Administration release 2000 criminals onto America's streets? One does not release criminals at a time when the nation is in peril. But that would make perfect sense if one were planning to seize power. Sewing chaos is a traditional trick employed by would-be tyrants. Hitler had his Reichstag fire, after all. Create an emergency and then offer to stay in office for the duration of the emergency. Anyone who believes this is tinfoil-hat stuff is deluding him or herself. This Administration owes us an answer or we have no choice but to assume the worst. We would be fools not to.
