Holy Week

In a World of Madness, Easter Offers Us Hope and Renewal!

With all of the madness occurring within our government and across the globe, not just at the different venues hosting March Madness, it can be easy to become discouraged.
Fortunately, with Palm Sunday, we have entered Holy Week. On Thursday, we will celebrate the Last Supper before Judas’ betrayal of Jesus, and on Friday, we will remember the passion and crucifixion of Jesus en route to being laid in the tomb. On Sunday, we will celebrate Jesus’ resurrection, and with His resurrection, we are offered spiritual hope and renewal. With no pun intended, thank God we have the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, for our sins, providing believers the opportunity for redemption of our souls and everlasting life with the Holy Trinity. Sadly, in this life, we are void of a human savior of our grand experiment, the constitutional republic of the United States of America.

Satan was bold enough to tempt Jesus in the desert, so doesn’t it stands to reason that he will do whatever he can to separate mere mortals from God’s grace? Satan has corrupted key players in our government, priests and other religious, and other high-profile individuals in order to steal our trust in God and our God-given and inalienable rights. Living according God’s 10 Commandments and expecting those within our government to live according to our constitution is attacked, talking about sin has become a no-no, and lying and stealing by those within our government and those lobbying those in government have become conducting business-as-usual, without remorse. The Democrats have cast their lots with Satan on almost every issue for decades; they have devolved into ‘Demoncrats’. The leadership of the Gutless Opposition Party (GOP) within both Houses of Congress has reverted to impersonating Judas on core moral, legal and constitutional issues. The Supreme Court failed all but those who are exempt from Benghazi Care (a/k/a Obama Care), and we have a jet-setting tyrant who uses our constitution when it helps him and bypasses it when it doesn’t, or the opposition actually displays a spine. There are a few within elected office who have attempted to honor their oath of office, but the vast majority of those who have sworn an oath to serve and protect have betrayed the U. S. citizen/taxpayer. Even when there was an opportunity to defund Benghazi Care, leaders within the GOP did their best impersonation of Peter, denying the U. S. citizen/taxpayer multiple times. As Lent leads us to Holy Thursday and Good Friday, we can be secure in knowing that God loves us infinitely more than Abraham loved God. When God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, Abraham displayed enviable faith in and love of God. Talk about a Lenten-like commitment! Nothing on Earth is perfect, for that would deny us seeking God and everlasting life with the Holy Trinity in Heaven as being our ultimate goal in our life’s travels. All God asks of each of us is to live according to His 10 Commandments, love our neighbor, and be the best person we can be. This doesn’t mean allowing ourselves to be bullied and overrun by those pervert our faith and constitution in attempting to use our faith and constitution against us. By allowing those in elective office to destroy our cherished morals, ethics, principles and freedoms, are we being the best we can be? Our only true hope in life and in rescuing our republic from the hood rats who are stealing our rights and freedoms while setting themselves up as mini-gods is for God’s divine intervention, but, as the saying goes, God helps those who help themselves. In a manner similar to how Jesus sacrificed His life for our spiritual salvation, many men and women have sacrificed their health or lives for our republic. They did not do this just for themselves and their generations, but, also, to ensure that our cherished republic would be available to those who were to come behind them. Isn’t it time that we begin tithing our time, talent and treasury to confront those who seek to do us harm, especially those within our government? Don’t our children and their children deserve the same consideration? Enjoy a blessed Holy Week and Easter.
