This “kinetic military action” is a simple CYA by a cheap politician who hasn’t had an original idea since graduating from high school

A political CYA

Being a practicing opportunist, President Obama’s prognostications about attacking Syria for crossing his “red line” on the use of chemical weapons, is nothing more than an attempt to increase the value of his stock using America’s military to do so.
It’s interesting to note, as the Wall Street Journal points out, “leaks” from the administration that the pending military action will be targeting specific sites in Syria, have basically given Bashar Assad a heads up to move his attack helicopters and maybe even some of his WMDs. The intervention isn’t really designed to achieve any objective other than raise the self-esteem of Democrat sycophants and low-information individuals. In terms of actually affecting what ultimately happens in Syria, a boutique military intervention in the form of a cruise missile or air strike, these actions will be largely meaningless. Except that it could result in a major conflagration, which is something the prevaricator in chief likely hasn’t considered. Why do you think the demand for gas masks and nerve gas antidote has increased by a staggering 30% in Israel over the past week? It isn’t for any other reason than the Israelis’ understanding that actions have consequences and lobbing missiles and bombs on to the heads of the Syrian regime is likely to bring forth a reaction against an American ally, if not by Syria, then certainly by Hamas, Hezbollah or their sponsor, Iran.

But that sort of consideration doesn’t seem to bother the Wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, whose prime concern is and will always be, “How can I advance my own agenda?” It’s disgusting to think that the administration is prepared to endanger the lives of the cream of America’s military or sacrifice a few thousand hapless Israelis if it means diverting attention from its many failures. Those failures seem to haunt the president, as his excuses get ever more meager. An oppositional Congress? George W. Bush? A tsunami in Japan? An anti-Islam video that almost no one saw? The “fat Cats” on Wall Street? It seems he has run out of credible scapegoats and is now raising the stakes in order to deflect attention from his dismal record of incompetence. In the final analysis, this is not about enforcing the precepts of “international law” or saving the lives of innocents, as Obama’s sock puppet, John Kerry, so sonorously claims. Let’s face it; in Syria there are no “good guys.” There’s the Assad regime one the one side whose prime supporter is the Shi’ite theocracy of Iran and a bunch of Sunni Islamists stemming from al Qaeda on the other. In the middle are the poor sots unfortunate enough to be living in Syria. This “kinetic military action” is a simple CYA by a cheap politician who hasn’t had an original idea since graduating from high school. His narcissism has reached such heights that he’s willing to incite a world war in the delusion that he can do no wrong. At what point will the people of America demand impeachment proceedings against this impostor?
