Roseanne Scolds Blacks On Gays

Isn't it amazing how sheltered Hollywood has-beens can get all brave and browbeat an entire racial community when they don't do what they're expected to? This is also what the black community gets for siding with a political ideology that uses them, and then turns on them when they've outlived their usefulness.

In her blog, Roseanne Barr unleashed herself upon blacks for overwhelmingly opposing Proposition 8, outlawing gay marriage in California.
70% of black californians who voted this cycle voted for prop 8. As they overwhelmingly supported America's first chance to elect a person of color and strike a death blow to racism, they also went out of their way to misuse their votes (no doubt at the behest of their immoral and hateful pastors and clergy) to isolate and punish a small minority of citizens, and to deny them basic civil rights.
Reciting the gay lobby's talking points is where Roseanne went wrong. Gays routinely equate their modern-day inconveniences with "civil rights" which is code for the black Civil Rights Movement. Roseanne, unlike gays, blacks couldn't avoid discrimination by staying in the closet. Blacks couldn't shed the color of their skin. Some gays, instead of parading themselves in the name of "pride" and simulating sex acts half naked on American streets, could have conducted themselves with a modicum of dignity. But there is NO COMPARISON between what blacks went through for almost two centuries in the United States to what gays go through today, and that argument is just one reason 70% of blacks threw gays under the bus.
They voted to deny over 70,000 californian children coverage of the insurance benefits of their gay parents.
Years ago, California granted gays civil union status for the purpose of allowing them to obtain benefits and make legal decisions for each other. NO ONE had a problem with that, but because some of the hard core activists harbored deep hatred for the church that opposed them so long, "marriage" was the next middle finger issued. The only reason why there is a push back today is because some gays went too far.
They voted to destroy the constitution that Obama will hopefully uphold against their wishes, by making sure that church and state remain separated.
Civil Unions are a state-recognized arrangement. Marriage is a religious ceremony. A marriage without a license isn't recognized by any state or federal entity. And it would appear Roseanne believes the state should recognize a religious ceremony. Just who's confused about the church and state remaining separate?
They voted to "uphold the sanctity of marriage" by making a mockery of it.
Hmmm. Making a mockery out of the sanctity of marriage…. Sorry, but the gay lobby beat us to that one.
They showed themselves every inch as bigoted and ignorant as their white christian right wing counterpartners who voted for mccain-palin and bush-cheney.
So because black people didn't agree with a comedienne, they are bigoted and ignorant. Tell you what, Roseanne. McCain-Palin and Bush-Cheney never used black people for moral equivalence.
When i suggested a couple of years ago that gay organizations should build official bridges with african american organizations, in order to build political consensus and not just represent a purely gay agenda, this very vote is what I was trying to speak to.
In other words, Roseanne saw this coming and knew blacks wouldn't see things her way. The problem is as long as every liberal victim group likens their "suffering" to what blacks went through post slavery through Jim Crow, blacks will continue to tell them to take a hike. Until gays stop using the "civil rights" argument, this bridge will never be built. And it's not just blacks or white christian right wing counterpartners that will oppose this argument. It could later be considered a "civil right" if a man wishes to marry a four-year-old girl, or a woman wishes to marry a dolphin, or any other abnormal combination. In order to get their way, gays could open a door America (or any decent society) isn't ready to.
The gay community needs to do outreach to the black and latino christian and immigrant communities.
Sorry Roseanne, but calling blacks ignorant bigots may have been the wrong approach.
the more things change, the more they stay the same.
REPENT all ye bible blabbers!!!! babble on babylon Here's a suggestion, Roseanne. If you and gay people have a problem with the black community's vote, why don't you take your protest to South Central and let those ignorant, bigoted blacks know how you feel, instead of screaming outside the home of a Mormon pastor? THAT would take guts.
