MoveOn.org: If GOP takes the Senate they'll pass laws using a shady tactic called 'reconciliation'

Wake the kids, phone the neighbors, sound the alarms! The uber-lefties who run George Soros' favorite political outfit have a dire warning for us all. Those evil Republicans have a devious, sneaky, and downright un-American new weapon in their arsenal and - if they win the Senate in November - they'll use it to pass their unholy agenda. It's called "reconciliation."
MoveOn is sure its viewers have never heard of it because it's such an arcane bit of unethical maneuvering that the fine, upstanding, statists who support them would never indulge in such forbidden knowledge. Nonetheless, they want you to know what those monsters across the aisle have planned. Apparently, if the GOP takes the Senate, they'll use this thing call "reconciliation" to pass all sorts of new laws. ...And instead of being forced to reach the usual 60 vote threshold, they'll only need 51 votes to do it! I know. You're shocked. I understand your terror but, still, you must be informed. You may not want to know about this, but you have to.

Here's the explanation from a shlubby MoveOn.org spokesman (also known as Robert Reich) who looks like he just woke up in a dumpster: Oh. My. God. According to the video, this so-called "reconciliation process" could even be used to pass groundbreaking medical legislation! Thank heavens that no one has ever used this exact process to pass a massive piece of unpopular, unworkable, and ultimately unsustainable healthcare legislation. Why just imagine if people like Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi had used this "reconciliation" to pass ObamaCare! The left would never let them live it down! Oh wait.... Obviously, that's exactly what they did. ...And MoveOn.org - quite correctly - assumes that the people who actually buy into their tripe are either too stupid to know it, or that they simply won't care. By the way, here's a link to a post by Robert Reich - yes, the SAME Robert Reich that appears in the video above - where he argues in favor of passing ObamaCare via reconciliation. As he said back in 2010, "Reconciliation is too extreme a measure to use on a piece of legislation so important. I hear this a lot but it’s bunk." Pathetic.
