Obama wants to spend $20 million to 'help' local police departments buy body cameras

I don't think Obama's intentions are very honorable here. In proposing to spend $20 million to "help" (force?) local police departments to buy body cameras to be worn by officers, he's playing to the dishonest narrative that police brutality is out of control and every move cops make have to be watched so we can catch them beating the innocent citizens. That is a load of crap. But ironically, I think that if they actually do this, the reason this load of crap has come to be so widely believed might be neutralized.

Uh oh: Witness says Freddie Gray intentionally injured himself in police van

Perhaps overlooked in the midst of the Baltimore riots is the fact that their purported cause - the death of Freddie Gray in police custody - remains a mystery insofar as the investigation of its cause is not complete. The presumption of the mobs and of the media is that the cops beat Gray and caused the spinal injury that led to his death.

Not news: Orioles to host White Sox; News: No fans will be allowed to attend

It will be an eerie thing to watch. Normally I would not take advantage of my MLB.tv subscription to tune in an Orioles-White Sox day game in late April, but something this bizarre is simply not to be missed. Adam Jones swings. Fly ball to deep left. The roar of the crowd . . . sorry, make that the silence of a completely empty stadium.

Economic forecasters expect major slowdown in U.S. GDP growth

If there's been one consistent thing about the Obama economic record, it's that it's wildly inconsistent. There have been many quarters of tepid growth, but also plenty of combinations in which we'll see a huge drop followed by a huge jump, or vice versa.

Baltimore mob violence has nothing to do with Freddie Gray

As you watch the images of violent mobs looting a CVS and then setting it on fire, along with the images of burning trash cans being thrown at police and so much other mayhem happening in Baltimore, you have to be careful not to get caught up in the media narrative of what's animating these mobs.

GoFundMe shuts down campaign for bakery targeted by gay marriage fascists

Apparently it's not enough for the Gay Borg to force people to bake cakes for their weddings, and it's not enough for gay couples feigning mental distress to get massive cash awards for bureaucrats for their troubles. Now they need to make it impossible for the Christian bakers to pay them the money you'd think they'd want to receive, by pressuring GoFundMe to shut down campaign pages on behalf of said bakers.

Hillary: Deep-seated religious beliefs have to change so there can be more abortions

Do you oppose abortion because you believe God views all life - including that of the unborn - as sacred and deserving of protection? Well you'd better change that belief! Hillary Clinton thinks its a problem. We need to have more abortions, you see, and that's not going to happen if you keep clinging to the same religious beliefs you've held up to now.

How about giving Iran a $50 billion signing bonus to seal the nuke deal?

How about giving Iran a $50 billion signing bonus to seal the nuke deal
If it surprises you that the Obama Administration would be mulling a $50 billion "signing bonus" to incentivize Iran to sign the bonkers nuclear deal that has become the obsession of President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, I'd suggest you look into the behavior patterns of people who are desperate. And that especially applies to people who are trying their hardest to get their love requited and finding that it's just not happening.

Clintons got cash, Russians got one-fifth of all America's uranium . . . hey, what's the problem?

I'm getting behind. It's really a challenge keeping up with all the corruption now being exposed about the Clinton Foundation and the connection between the money the Clintons accepted and the decisions Bill Clinton's Wife was making at the State Department. So as she might say, this is "old news" insofar as it came out yesterday, but it's still fund watching her campaign trying to claim there's no evidence she did anything wrong.

NFL to return to Los Angeles with not one, not two . . . but three teams?

I guess it would make up for lost time. And of course, there's no guarantee the National Football League approves even one team's application to move. But if the city councils who commit public dollars to stadium construction are any indication, there's reason to think the NFL could soon have as many as three teams calling Los Angeles home.

Saudis fear Obama has sent aircraft carrier to Yemen coast to sit there and do nothing

Whatever problems we may have with Saudi Arabia - and I know there are many - you have to give them this: They're serious about stopping Iran from propping up the militias threatening the regime in Yemen. The Saudis have been active in bombing militia supplies, and want the U.S. to back their play by preventing Iran from re-arming them.
