Jeremiah Wright’s Controversial AIDS Charge

Asked during the question-and-answer period following his National Press Club speech on Monday why he charged the U.S. Government with manufacturing the AIDS virus to kill black people, Barack Obama’s “former” pastor Jeremiah Wright cited a 1996 book by Leonard Horowitz, Emerging Viruses: AIDS and Ebola.

With Obama, it’s the Communism, Stupid

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama tried to deflect a question about his relationship with terrorist Bill Ayers by saying that he “engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8-years-old” and that he was now a professor and a neighbor.

Pope Genuflects Before United Nations

Coverage of the United Nations speech by Pope Benedict XVI was extremely lacking in critical analysis. None of the stories that Accuracy in Media surveyed in the major newspapers alluded to the fact that while the Pope had just finished apologizing for the Catholic Church sex abuse scandal in several U.S. appearances, his speech to the U.N. ignored the history of rapes of women and children committed by its so-called military “peacekeepers.” This has been a major U.N. scandal for years.

Poor Coverage of Pope’s Visit

It was big news that the Pope said that he was ashamed that the Catholic Church had pedophiles in its midst. But there is much more to the story. The media ignore the well-documented fact, which the Pope understands, that the pedophile problem was a function of homosexual men infiltrating the church as priests.

McCain Wrong to Support Media Shield Law

The Bush Administration is absolutely right―and Senator John McCain is absolutely wrong―on the issue of the so-called “media shield law” before Congress. The purpose of the law is to enable people claiming to be journalists to hide their anonymous sources of information even when those sources are involved in or have knowledge of criminal or terrorist activity.

Journalist Asks Bush to Protect Iraqi Christians

On the eve of the Pope’s visit to the U.S., journalist Raymond Arroyo has taken President Bush to task for his policy toward the plight of Christians in Iraq. Arroyo, anchor of the show, “The World Over,” has aggressively questioned Bush about some of the issues we raised in a recent column. The entire interview will air at 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, on EWTN Global Catholic Network. Here are excerpts from his tough interview with the President:

The Phony Free-Trade Agreement

The White House wants a quick vote in favor of a “U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement,” saying it will help U.S. business, bolster the anti-communist government of Colombia, and deal a setback to the anti-American ruler of Venezuela.

Obama’s Red Mentor Praised Red Army

Barack Obama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, a member of the Moscow-controlled Communist Party USA, wrote a poem dedicated to the Soviet Red Army. “Smash on, victory-eating Red Army,” he declared. He also wrote poems attacking traditional Christianity and the work of Christian missionaries.

McCain’s Incoherent New World Order

In his March 26 speech to the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, McCain never mentioned the need to preserve American sovereignty. He could have reassured conservatives by stating his forthright opposition to Senate ratification of the U.N.’s Law of the Sea Treaty, which provides for international control over billions of dollars worth of oil, gas and minerals and undermines American claims to North Pole riches. But he chose not to.

McCain Supports Radical Muslims in Kosovo

If the media are on the lookout for gaffes by the presidential campaigns, they missed a big one on Wednesday, when Cindy McCain met with Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci in Kosovo’s capital Pristina, while her husband was giving a major foreign policy speech calling for “new foundations for a stable and enduring peace.”

Does Obama Favor Slavery “Reparations?”

Barrack Obama’s pastor not only spews anti-American rhetoric from the pulpit but favors shaking down U.S. taxpayers for “reparations” for slavery. The Reverend Dr. Jeremiah Wright was the keynote speaker at the 2007 annual conference of N’COBRA, which stands for the National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America.

U.S. Troops Should Protect Iraqi Christians

You don’t have to be a member of the far-left to question what has happened in Iraq since the U.S. invasion in 2003. During Holy Week, we should all consider the plight of Iraqi Christians and their possible extinction.

Is Barack Obama A Marxist Mole?

In his biography of Barack Obama, David Mendell writes about Obama’s life as a “secret smoker” and how he “went to great lengths to conceal the habit.” But what about Obama’s secret political life? It turns out that Obama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a communist.

Bush’s Big Bank Bailout

Both the Wall Street Journal and conservative economist Lawrence A. Kudlow are defending the Bush Administration's big-government-socialist bailout of Bear Stearns. The taxpayers are bailing out a big bank while millions of Americans may be losing their homes in the financial meltdown. Where are the conservatives protesting this?

McCain, Soros, and the New “Global Order”

It's not the kind of endorsement that a Republican presidential candidate should welcome. But former Clinton State Department official and alleged Russian dupe Strobe Talbott says that Senator John McCain and Democratic presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are all "moderate pragmatists" in foreign policy "with the demonstrated ability to reach across party lines."

Former Clinton Official Named as Russian Dupe

In what could be the biggest State Department scandal since State Department official and United Nations founder Alger Hiss was exposed as a Soviet spy, a top Clinton State Department official and former Time magazine journalist has been identified as having been a trusted contact of the Russian intelligence service.
