Many people feel that Obama won the third debate last night. However, they were only watching and listening to him for part of an hour and a half. They did not see his record rolling around behind his head like a bubble in a cartoon. In drama they call it the understory. It is what surrounds the plot or the debate. It’s never what Obama does in the putative future but what he did in the apparent past that matters. His deeds and his speeches don’t match. Tomorrow is Obama’s excuse; yesterday is his witness.

Obama has looked down from his lofty chin to notice that he is losing some of the women’s vote. He had been too confident. He is like a complacent married man who one day wakes up and sees that his girlfriend has walked off with her tennis coach.

When Obama came to office he said he would cut the ten trillion dollar national debt to five trillion. Instead he raised it to sixteen trillion. His socialistic, “You didn’t build that” speech, is indicative of his emphasis on the government’s role in the universe. If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

PREFACE

I started boxing in Gleason’s Gym in 1984. I was a ranked tennis player. I was also a ranked ski racer but that has nothing to do with this. Someone in my tennis club locker room said he was going to try boxing. In those days no white collar people boxed. It sounded freakish but a few weeks later I myself started. I didn’t think I’d last. I figured it would be a nice dilettantish diversion. It would feed me with stories for social events. Maybe I’d amuse myself for a few months.

Against Protestors

I hate protestors. Call me un-American. But I consider it ill-mannered to disrupt other people’s lives in order to promote the protestors’ clichéd utopian visions. Breaking windows or blocking people on their way to work does not further the spread of wealth.

Put Obama on a five-year green, do-nothing energy plan

Environmentalists are a danger. Green Obama keeps shoveling money into ridiculous alternative energy projects which flop. He boasts about his adherence to a utopian field which has never worked efficiently or fiscally.

Every day we delay the death penalty on the Gitmo detainees we give the prisoners another day of the gift of life. Why we should want to give Khalid Sheik Mohammad a gift startles me. He murdered three thousand people and grief-struck thousands of their relatives. Our treating him to more life sounds like a form of insanity. Obama boasts that’s the American way. Is it the American way to disrespect our citizens and give murderers freebees? Is it the American tradition to do unto others better than they have done unto you?
