The Debate: Tomorrow is Obama’s Excuse, Yesterday is his Witness

Many people feel that Obama won the third debate last night. However, they were only watching and listening to him for part of an hour and a half. They did not see his record rolling around behind his head like a bubble in a cartoon. In drama they call it the understory. It is what surrounds the plot or the debate. It’s never what Obama does in the putative future but what he did in the apparent past that matters. His deeds and his speeches don’t match. Tomorrow is Obama’s excuse; yesterday is his witness.

Obama Goes Back After the Women’s Vote

Obama has looked down from his lofty chin to notice that he is losing some of the women’s vote. He had been too confident. He is like a complacent married man who one day wakes up and sees that his girlfriend has walked off with her tennis coach.

Lawrence O’Donnell, the Tough Guy

Lawrence O’Donnell thinks that he is a tough guy. He calls out Tagg Romney, “When I hear you talk about taking a swing and taking punches, why do I get the feeling you have never actually taken a punch, or thrown a punch. I didn’t have that luxury in the part of Boston I grew up in.”

Eleven Trillion Reasons Not to Vote for Obama

When Obama came to office he said he would cut the ten trillion dollar national debt to five trillion. Instead he raised it to sixteen trillion. Thus there is an eleven trillion dollar spread between what he promised and what he delivered. That’s another eleven trillion reasons not to vote for Obama.

Obama’s Golf Cart

At the Town hall debate at Hofstra, Romney said that when he was governor of Massachusetts he had more women in senior leadership positions than any other state.

Obama at Bethesda Fountain

Many people think that Obama is a nice guy, that he is sweet. Even when he lost the first debate to Romney, he looked like a meek little lamb in the corner of large state arguments he hadn’t prepared for. Although Romney was anything but a Bidenesque bully, the average sucker couldn’t help but feel sorry for Obama.

Obama’s Flag

How could Obama redraw the flag in his own image? When does his narcissism spread so widely that his self-image engulfs a country? What’s the next step—Obama’s face in the Burning Bush? But he seems an agnostic despite his attachments to Moslems and Reverend Wright’s bigoted Trinity United Church of Christ.

Obama has Destroyed the American Dream

Obama loves to portray himself as an empathetic leader of all the people. When he won the election he lied, “if you want to be president you’ve got to work for everybody, not just for some.” I guess he forgot about small businesses, doctors, Republicans and financiers.

In the Three Levels of Life Obama Celebrates Government

In the tripartite division between people, government and God, Obama celebrates government. His socialistic, “You didn’t build that” speech, is indicative of his emphasis on the government’s role in the universe. He ignores us and God and is government centric, “If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help…. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business—you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

“Nice Guy” Obama

Obama seemed like the nicest guy when he came to office. We all felt that he would shake this cruel world by its scuff and make this planet a more peaceful place. The countries would purr with good neighborliness.

Obama and Midsummer Night’s Dream

Remember Seoul Korea when Obama said to Medvedev on an open mike, “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but it’s important for (Putin) to give me space.”

Cozying Up To Dictators

When you go to bed with dictators you get fleas. Simple minded Joe Kennedy is itching after he praised Hugo Chavez for providing us oil to heat our seniors. After Hurricane Isaac, the highest gas prices in New York are by CITGO--$4.79 per gallon.

Bill Clinton, the first Black President, Demeans Blacks

Bill Clinton said about Obama in 2008 that, “A few years ago, this guy would have been carrying our bags.” He also said, “A few years ago this guy would have been getting us coffee.”

At Bain Capital Romney was not the President of the United States

Obama has been criticizing Romney for outsourcing jobs while he was the head of Bain Capital. Not true but big deal. It is not the responsibility of a CEO to watch over the American economy. That is the responsibility of a President. That was and is Barack Obama’s job, regardless of the false accusations of outsourcing by Romney.

I Deserved to be Frisked

What kind of wimp is worried about being profiled? Boohoo, why do you think I might be bad? I could cry. Give me a break. Please don’t mistake me for a criminal. It hurts so bad.

In the Other Corner

In Brooklyn, the land of liberal redundancy and mock thought, I am in the other corner.

PREFACE

I started boxing in Gleason’s Gym in 1984. I was a ranked tennis player. I was also a ranked ski racer but that has nothing to do with this. Someone in my tennis club locker room said he was going to try boxing. In those days no white collar people boxed. It sounded freakish but a few weeks later I myself started. I didn’t think I’d last. I figured it would be a nice dilettantish diversion. It would feed me with stories for social events. Maybe I’d amuse myself for a few months.

Against Protestors

I hate protestors. Call me un-American. But I consider it ill-mannered to disrupt other people’s lives in order to promote the protestors’ clichéd utopian visions. Breaking windows or blocking people on their way to work does not further the spread of wealth.

Put Obama on a five-year green, do-nothing energy plan

Environmentalists are a danger. Green Obama keeps shoveling money into ridiculous alternative energy projects which flop. He boasts about his adherence to a utopian field which has never worked efficiently or fiscally.

Welcome to the School for Dunces

Every day we delay the death penalty on the Gitmo detainees we give the prisoners another day of the gift of life. Why we should want to give Khalid Sheik Mohammad a gift startles me. He murdered three thousand people and grief-struck thousands of their relatives. Our treating him to more life sounds like a form of insanity. Obama boasts that’s the American way. Is it the American way to disrespect our citizens and give murderers freebees? Is it the American tradition to do unto others better than they have done unto you? The scales of justice tip to the side of the despicable.
