Five Unthinkable Options (Part 4 of 5)

Boy, unthinkable option number three where we appease the dependent class and cut spending everywhere but their precious welfare programs sure was depressing wasn’t it? How did you like those numbers I gave you to mull over last week where even if we cut everything else from the budget except for the so-called “Mandatory Spending” it would still take twenty years to pay off our debt? Pretty depressing huh? Quite a reality check, was it not?

Five Unthinkable Options (Part 3 of 5)

This week it is time to consider unthinkable option number three with regards to the federal budget. Previously we have discussed unthinkable option number one, do nothing and keep spending more than we bring in, and unthinkable option number two, raise taxes to make up the differences between revenues and expenditures.

Five Unthinkable Options

The first unthinkable option, as I mentioned at the end of last week’s article, is to sit back, do nothing different, keep on letting the federal government spend more than it brings in, enjoy the ride and hope like hell that you are one of the lucky ones to die the day before everything goes kablooie leaving a huge mess for our posterity.

Praise for Scott Brown Being Reserved

Scott Brown’s election to one of Massachusetts’ Senate seats was a foregone conclusion to anyone watching the polls. Martha Coakley did not stand a chance on Election Day. She was a dead woman walking for trying to sugar coat her support of unpopular policies. No number of buses packed with ACORN bought voters or SEIU members could have saved her from her own incompetence.

Is Glenn Beck The Great Conservative Hope?

Talk radio and television host Glenn Beck has rocketed up several lists over the past couple years. The first list is the one kept by conservatives and reflects people that they most identify with and who reflect their views. By my count, Beck is perhaps second only to Rush Limbaugh on this list. The second list Beck has moved up is the one kept by liberals and denotes those people who will never convert to their socialist dogma. It will be the list they use in determining who is first into the ovens when they gain enough power to accomplish such horrors without fearing for their own safety. Again, by my count Beck is perhaps second only to Rush on that list as well.

Milk Toast Republicanism

If anyone had any doubts whatsoever that the Republican Party has lost its way and is no longer a true friend to the core conservative values of individual liberty and limited government, those doubts should be put firmly to rest considering the current debate in Washington over the proposal for socialized health care coming out of the far left.
