Some Want Their Freedom, Some Fear It

The conflict between liberals and conservatives in America is an ideological one. When our Founders came to this continent, they created a country where all men could live free and unimpaired by an all-powerful government. But living free also requires every adult to accept personal responsibility for his or her own lives and well-being.

Partisanship, Finger Pointing, and the Giffords Shooting

Partisan political attacks are all a part of the game, I suppose, but it has become much worse over the past couple of years since the nation has had to deal with the policies of Barack Obama. It is not just me saying this. Now that Democrats are on the defensive, even they agree.

The U.S. Government vs. The Constitution

I have seen many articles since November 3 that make the point that this election was not a win for the Republican Party, but rather a win for the people. The voters dislike the Republican Party almost as much as they now dislike the Democrat Party. This was an election to stop the Soros-Obama socialist agenda and begin to restore American values and constitutional principals to the nation.

Obamanomics Has Failed And We’re Stuck With The Bill

"If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in five years there'd be a shortage of sand." -- Milton Friedman Obama and the Democrats have shot themselves in the foot. All of their promises of fiscal responsibility, transparency, and paying down the debt are all a lie. They thought they could get away with uncontrolled spending and redistributing the wealth by raising taxes on the wealthy to pay for it. In the end their tax scheme failed and Bush tax cuts were extended for another two years.

Our Country Is Fine But The Government Is Broken

The problem we face is not a lack of good ideas to fix the economy, create jobs, and solve the problems facing our nation. The problem is that the current administration refuses to consider those ideas that would be effective in putting America back on the right track.

Straw Men On The Other Side

There can be little doubt that the election this year will be a referendum on public rejection of Obama’s socialist, economic policies. The people who, because they reject socialism, high taxes and debt, are considered "the enemy," "radicals," "fringe right wing extremists," and other such nonsense by Obama and his Progressive allies.

NASCAR Turning Hard Left, And Not Just On The Track

First with Nascar’s "Drive for Diversity" program, created in 2004, and now with the introduction of EC-15 biofuel in Nascar racing, the organization seems to be moving toward the liberal agenda. I have been unable to find any evidence of the Soros-Obama administration putting pressure on Nascar but I am not convinced that it isn't happening. For one thing, government owned GM and Chrysler are major financial contributors to Nascar. In the Soros-Obama administration, the money comes with a price. Another thing that connects Nascar with Obama is a recent "anti-texting while driving campaign." Who could object to that?

And So It Came To Pass

Once there was contentment in the land of America as people worked and prospered under the Bush. Everyone had work who wanted it, and profits were made in business and on the street of the Wall. The people felt they were safe in their homeland living under the vigilance and watchful eye of the Bush. But his time was running short and he would soon be replaced with another.

The Lies And Distortions Just Keep Coming

This most recent statement from the community organizer in the White House is just typical of the stream of lies and distortions that have been flowing from this Marxist president:

Islam Is Not A Religion, It Is Foreign Law

The time has come to question if Islam is protected under our First Amendment rights to freedom of religion. Yes, everyone in America has the right to freedom of religion, but Islam is not a religion. Religious faith is only a part of Islam. The rest is a socially engineered society with its own laws and customs that seriously conflict with American law.

Is Obama Really a Muslim Slave?

In an ABC radio newsbreak a few days ago, the reporter reported briefly on the Pew survey that shows 18% think Obama is a Muslim. They then attempted to explain the 18% by saying maybe it is because when Obama attended church services on the first Sunday after his inauguration and spoke to the congregation, the theme was not on Christianity, but instead was on the National Anthem.

Ground Zero Mosque Not About Religious Freedom

Just as he did with the Arizona immigration law when he said that Arizona's 1070 "provides for racial profiling," the Babbler in Chief has missed the target again regarding the ground zero mosque. "As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country.

Obama Doesn’t Know What Independence Day Is

On July 4th, King Barack sent the following email to his subjects:
This Fourth of July The Fourth of July is especially dear to my family. For us, it is not just our nation's birthday. It is the day Michelle and I became parents 12 years ago. And every year we enjoy watching the fireworks with Malia on her birthday.

Hidden Dangers In The Gulf - Fact or Fiction

While the media have been focusing on the damage from the oil spill to the Gulf waters and coastline, they have been ignoring what could be an issue of far greater consequence. This oil leak could be unstoppable and in fact could become much worse - according to rumors. How hard could it be to simply bolt a new valve to the wellhead flange then close the valve to seal off the well? Certainly not a permanent solution, but would stop the pollution of the Gulf until they are able to engineer a more permanent one.

Oilgate Could Spell The End Of Obama

What is wrong with Obama? Did he actually go down to the gulf and try to suck up oil with a straw after saying he couldn’t do it? You might think so by the way he has been handling the gulf oil spill. Rahm Emanuel says, “Never let a crisis go to waste,” while the Obama administration is exploiting the oil spill for every political point they can make. Enter the cap & tax energy bill - designed in part to kill the oil industry.

The Sestak-Clinton Smoke Screen

Last summer during an interview, Joe Sestak let it slip that he was offered a “high level position in the Obama administration” in exchange for dropping out of the Senate race against Arlen Specter. This went mostly unnoticed until this past February, while during another interview for his campaign; the question was brought up about his earlier comment. At that time he again repeated the statement he had made in the summer that he was offered a "high level position in the Obama administration" for dropping out of the Senate race.

A Shout-out For Arizona

The Arizona immigration law has really brought to the public attention which side of legal immigration, and the Constitution, our public leaders are on. While some support the law of legal immigration, others have shown contempt for U.S. law and shown their support for lawbreakers and illegal migration in spite of their oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution.

Was the BP Oil Platform Explosion an Accident, or…?

Maybe it's just me, but I find the devastating explosion of a BP oil rig, and resulting oil spill, in the Gulf of Mexico at this particular time somewhat suspicious. These kinds of explosions are extremely rare. In fact, there have been only two similar incidents in recorded history as far as I can determine.

Obama: Authority or Authoritarian

Rarely does a day go by that we don't see the community organizer in front of a camera pretending to be an authority on something. His mindless and childish babbling is really becoming an annoyance.

The Showdown That Sinks The Obama Ship

Obamacare passed the House on Sunday night by a vote of 219 to 212. Obama was becoming so desperate to get his healthcare proposal passed that he was telling his Democrat followers in Congress that the success of his presidency depends on passing this horrid legislation. I agree. If this healthcare legislation fails to become the law of the land (and it still might), what is left of this “president’s” credibility and influence will be gone. He will have failed on his signature legislation and will become a lame duck for the rest of his time in office.
