Chuck Schumer is beginning to see the handwriting on the wall

Senator Chuck Schumer on MSNBC:  “We’re no longer fact-based.  The founding fathers created a country based on fact.  We don’t have a fact base.  If Breitbart News and the New York Times are regarded with equal credibility, you worry about this democracy.”

First of all, in Schumer’s opening sentence, who is this “we”? There is an implication that the “we” is somehow monolithic and centralized. But people have been in disagreement about facts and what they mean since the dawn of time. People have rejected centralized sources of facts, from kings and queens and priests, to newspapers and television news.

Insane shrinks say Trump mentally ill: official science howls at the moon

My readers are familiar with my extended refutation of psychiatry as science. Here I’ll focus on the latest piece of non-logic from professional know-nothings.

The Daily Mail: “A group of leading psychiatrists told a conference that Donald Trump has clear hallmarks of mental illness that compromise his role as president. Twenty-five researchers made a drastic break away from ethical standards by meeting at Yale University on Thursday to discuss evidence questioning the commander-in-chief’s mental health.”

Psychiatrist Allen Frances, who has played a central role in defining mental disorders, disagrees. He wrote in the NY Times: “Most amateur diagnosticians have mislabeled [Mr. Trump as having] narcissistic personality disorder. He may be a world-class narcissist, but this doesn’t make him mentally ill.”

US presidents can act as chief spy case officers

Government agents can’t legally spy on a US citizen? Do the spying in a ship outside the three-mile limit, in international waters.

This is just one way of skirting the law.

Sharyl Attkisson, former CBS investigative reporter, recently spoke with “a small group of reliable, formerly high-placed intelligence officials.” They tipped her to surveillance tactics in the arsenal of intel agencies.

On the one hand, we have unverified claims that Russian hackers stole emails from the Democratic National Committee and passed them to WikiLeaks, who released them.

Supposedly, the contents of the emails were so embarrassing, they helped sink Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

Reuters: “In the past few years, the House has voted more than 60 times to repeal or alter Obamacare, but Republicans had no hope a repeal would become law as long as Obama was president and could veto their bills.”

But now that the new version of national health insurance has failed to pass in Congress ONCE, well, according to press accounts, obviously the world is over. Mountains are falling into the sea. An asteroid just struck the Pacific Ocean. And oh yes, Trump is finished.

Vladimir Putin is the secret president of the United States.

Yep. That’s it. The US is now the USSR. It’s all over. Trump is a Communist who took orders from Putin. Trump is a Red. That was his game all along. He’s a billionaire Commie.

Here is how this would play out in a reasonable court, in the judge’s chambers—-

The sequence by which major media went stark raving mad

I’ve been working as a reporter since 1982. Since then I’ve watched big-media news lie in every possible way they could. But I’ve never seen them race to the edge of a cliff and jump off—until now.

Here is the rough sequence, acted out in the past year.

From the LA Times, on a key scene from the movie about Watergate, All the President’s Men: “Leaning on a desk in the Post newsroom while debating with Woodward and Bernstein about whether to run an early Watergate story, [Jason] Robards’ Bradlee says, ‘I can’t do the reporting for my reporters, which means I have to trust them. And I hate trusting anybody’. He pauses, looks at them, looks at the article, then steps toward them. ‘Run that baby’.”
After a deep investigation, I’ve hit gold: George Orwell hacked the Podesta emails and sent Hillary Clinton down to a stunning defeat. There it is.

The Individual under attack

“It’s instructive to read what authors wrote about core values a hundred or two hundred years ago, because then you can appreciate what has happened to the culture of a nation. You can grasp the enormous influence of planned propaganda, which changes minds, builds new consensus, and exiles certain disruptive thinkers to the margins of society. You can see what has been painted over, with great intent, in order to promote tyranny that proclaims a greater good for all.” —(The Underground, Jon Rappoport)

Here I present several statements about the individual, written in 19th century America. The authors, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and James Fenimore Cooper were prominent figures. Emerson, in his time, was the most famous.

Yes, he works for CNN.  He’s operated as “White House advisor” to four presidents: Ford, Nixon, Reagan, and Clinton.  That should give you pause.

Why?

Because Washington insider David Gergen, currently a CNN political commentator, is also a member of the executive committee of the Trilateral Commission (TC).  The TC is one of the most powerful elite groups on the planet.  Founded by David Rockefeller in 1973, the TC has been making domestic and foreign policy for America since the Jimmy Carter administration.

If Trump, as president, revived the economy by bringing jobs back to America—-if he achieved that one goal—-out of their coffins, out of the darkness, forced into blinding light, progressive Leftist vampires would fill the air from coast to coast with hideous screams and death rattles.

No free everything? Actual jobs? Work? What? And he, the Trump, made that happen? Trump, the enemy of enemies? Aieeeeeeeeeee!

An open letter to Steve Bannon, Trump’s inside man

Steve Bannon, Trump’s inside man, his chief strategist and senior counselor, is different. No question about that. What he creates for Trump and the American people remains to be seen. But when was the last time you saw an anti-mainstream-media man, a virulent ridiculer of major media, a high-profile figure in independent media (Breitbart) sit this close to the president of the United States?

Bannon: “The media bubble is the ultimate symbol of what’s wrong with this country. It’s just a circle of people talking to themselves who have no f—ing idea what’s going on. If The New York Times didn’t exist, CNN and MSNBC would be a test pattern. The Huffington Post and everything else is predicated on The New York Times. It’s a closed circle of information from which Hillary Clinton got all her information — and her confidence. That was our opening.”
