CA Senate To Hire Lawyers To Cover Up Sexual Harassment

CA Senate To Hire Lawyers To Cover Up Sexual Harassment The California Legislature is a hotbed of indecency, on many levels. Decades of vulgarity, obscene tales of trysts and assignations, and the usual gropes and grabs have made the rounds in local watering holes, and on the pages of newspapers. So when more than 150 women wrote an open letter last month condemning the culture of sexual harassment in the Capitol, news reports joined in the condemnation. Since then, more women have added their names to the letter. But it turns out the culture inside the Capitol is even more uncivil and indelicate than previously thought possible.

CA Gov. Jerry Brown's War Against Reality... and the Climate

CA Gov. Jerry Brown's War Against Reality... and the Climate California Gov. Jerry Brown says the world needs 'brain washing' on climate change. Sounding indeed brainwashed, Brown said, "The problem ... is us. It's our whole way of life. It's our comfort ... It's the greed. It's the indulgence. It's the pattern. And it's the inertia." I hate to be a party pooper but the totalitarian trio of Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot also said the world needed brainwashing. But I digress.

Thoughts on Whining (not winning) and Analysis From the CA GOP Convention

Steve Bannon, Grassroots army, California GOP Another California Republican Party convention has come and gone, and many are asking, "Why bother?" given that "The outcome of the convention changed the nature of how the party operates and further consolidated power among a very few while continuing support of the terrible Top 2 voting system," as Tom Del Beccaro, former CA GOP Party Chairman says.

Numbers Show The Deck is Stacked for Republicans in California’s Legislature

Elected Republicans represent nearly a third of California’s legislators, but are only getting 18 percent of their bills passed, for eventual consideration by Gov. Jerry Brown. This is despite the fact that they represent nearly 40 percent of the voters who cast ballots in the last election. And even worse, Brown so far has only approved about 16.5 percent of Republican bills, while Democrats saw 83.4 percent of their bills signed into law.

Jerry Brown's California: Devastation, Plunder, Economic Failure

People like me have been explaining for many years that California is an example of leftist policies to avoid, and the poster child state of what not to do unless state suicide is the goal. California has become the Greece of the United States, and is cracking up.

California Democrats Schooled On Definition of 'Hate Speech' At Hearing

There is a rumor going around the California State Capitol that the Legislature is about to vote on a ban of humor in the state, because every time someone laughs at something funny, it is apparently at the expense of someone else's feelings. If this sounds silly, the Senate hearing held Tuesday, ostensibly on "hate speech," was even more nonsensical.

Judge Smacks Down CA Attorney General For “Misleading” Ballot Initiative Language

In a stunning court rebuke of the state Attorney General's Office, a Sacramento Superior Court Judge announced Friday that Xavier Becerra's title and summary for the Repeal of the Gas Tax initiative is "misleading and is likely to create prejudice against the measure"--and that he'd "do a rewrite himself" to make it clear the measure would repeal Jerry Brown's increases gas taxes and vehicle fees.

Should Some Lawyer-Politicians be Disbarred?

What recourse do American voters have with elected officials, and especially those who are attorneys, who knowingly pass illegal laws and policies, which violate the Constitution? California will now offer a third gender option on driver's licenses and birth certificates for "nonbinary" people who do not identify as male or female under a bill headed to Gov. Jerry Brown.
