Practically no one chooses to comply with Connecticut's new gun laws

Back in December of 2012, President Obama decided that the Sandy Hook murders had presented him with a public opinion gift. He assumed that he'd be able to exploit the slaughter to further his longstanding anti-gun agenda and pass a whole swath of new anti-2nd Amendment regulations. He was very, very, wrong. At the federal level, his push resulted in nothing but a few impotent executive orders.

Endangered Senate Dems openly pushing IRS to target opposition political groups

You may recall that, back in 2011, we were treated to an ad in which Paul Ryan threw Granny over a cliff. The spot was created by the"Agenda Project Action Fund" - a Democrat-friendly 501(4)(c) group. Dems thought it was just the greatest thing since sliced bread. According to them, the spot was funny, insightful and, most of all, an accurate portrayal of Republicans.None of them complained about where, exactly, the funding for the ad originated.

Eric Holder: States should let convicted felons vote - otherwise, they're racist.

I'm pretty sure that Eric Holder begins each and every day with a meeting where he and his team sit around brainstorming new ways to call Americans racist. If you support the 2nd Amendment, you're a racist. If you want to enforce the nation's borders, you're a racist. If you favor voter ID laws, you're a racist. If you think it's criminal to run guns to Mexico, you're a racist.

Chaos: government shutting down Healthcare.gov - on 'National Youth Enrollment Day'

This Saturday, February 15th, has been designated "National Youth Enrollment Day." The goal, of course, is to get millennials, young invincibles, and 26-year-old "children" to enroll in the quagmire known as ObamaCare. The push is will boast more than 200 events nationwide, all designed to shore up the ACA's disastrous young/old ratio.

Generalissimo Obama claims 'I can do whatever I want'; and he's right, because no one is stopping him

By now, you've no doubt seen the video of President Barack Obama and President Francois Hollande roaming about the grounds of Monticello. During their tour of Thomas Jefferson's home Leslie Bowman, president of the Monticello Foundation, told the pair that Jefferson loved to survey the landscape from a specific terrace. President Obama said he'd like to see the spot, even though it wasn't part of the day's original game plan.

NAACP requires photo ID to attend anti voter ID protest march

In 2011 Elon University conducted a poll which revealed that 75% of North Carolina residents supported a wide swath of new voter ID regulations that were, at the time, making their way through the legislature. With such broad support, the measures were a no-brainer. They eventually passed and were signed into law last August.

Obama: Maybe I'll just let you 'keep your plan' until I'm not President anymore

ObamaCare is a moral imperative. God wants you to have ObamaCare. You're racist if you're not in favor of enacting ObamaCare. These are all things we've heard from the left over the course of the last three years. Conservatives who would dare stand in the way of the Affordable Care Act were monsters to be slain with extreme prejudice.

Unpopular Obama promises Senate Dems he won't hurt them by trying to help them get re-elected

Hey, Democrat candidates. Remember the good ol' days? There was a time when Obama's approval rating was so sky-high that virtually every left-wing politician in America was salivating at the mere thought that the President might look their way and wink. If you managed to get a handshake or a photo-op, you'd be as giddy as a schoolgirl meeting Paul McCartney (the cute one) in 1964. A chosen few had curried so much favor that the Commander in Chief would actually answer the call by tearing himself away from the golf course to help campaign. This was seen as a major coup.

WH spin: ObamaCare isn't costing you your job, it's freeing you from 'job lock'

Now that the Congressional Budget Office has confirmed that ObamaCare is the jobs-killer conservatives always claimed it was, the White House has put the spin machine into overdrive. Since they can no longer deny the truth, they've decided to convince you that destroying the workforce is a good thing. The idea is to make you believe that losing your employment is actually some kind of Bizzaro-world liberation.

Dems think women are infantile morons - so they launch 'singing pet' commercials to get them to sign up for ObamaCare

It's no secret that the number of ObamaCare signups is nowhere near where it was supposed to be. Both in terms of volume and the all-important young/old ratio, the program is in a death spiral from which it seems unlikely to recover. In rare moments of honesty, prominent Democrats are admitting as much. Whether the failure is by design, or simply an inevitable byproduct of left-wing incompetence, history will decide.

Henry Waxman suddenly retires. Sandra Fluke fills the void?

Congratulations, America. You're about to be rid of one of the longest serving left-wing nutjobs in Congress. Representative Henry Waxman, a man that even NPR refers to as a "ferocious liberal" is retiring. If you believe the reasons stated in his shock announcement, the evil monsters in the Tea Party are to blame.

Behind closed doors, Democrats already conceding midterm defeat in the House of Representatives

If The Politico is correct, desperation is setting in among the Democrats' behind-the-scenes players. According to a new report, Democrat strategists and donors are quietly conceding defeat and admitting that Republicans will maintain or expand control in the House of Representatives. What's more, they're terrified that they've lost their hold on the Senate, so they're shifting money and resources away from House races in an effort to stave off a 2014 ballot box apocalypse.

Retread State of the Union draws lowest ratings in 13 years

The Nielsen ratings are in and if you didn't bother to watch the President's Tuesday night State of the Union address, you weren't alone. Only 33 million people put themselves through the President's ugly endurance test - across 14 networks. That's the lowest viewership in 13 years.

Nancy Pelosi whines about GOP opposition to Obama - 'We didn't treat Bush this way'

I don't really know what to say about this. Lately, as she desperately tries to prop up her President's deeply unpopular agenda, Nancy's been drifting further and further away from reality. We've come to expect random fits of craziness from her, so these days she really has to amp it up if she wnats to get noticed. Yesterday, in advance of history's worst modern-era State of the Union speech, she did just that.

NBC’s senior political editor thinks Obama and Army Ranger Remsberg have very similar stories

If there was one worthwhile moment in last night's dismal State of the Union address, it was unquestionably the story of war hero Cory Remsberg. After serving a staggering 10 deployments, the Army Ranger was severely injured by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. The President honored his service, his struggle, and his strength. The man is a genuine hero, and if you didn't find it moving, well, I feel sorry for you.

Jim Moran says young people aren't buying into ObamaCare - and they have legitimate reasons not to

About two weeks ago, Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) announced his impending retirement. As usual, when left-wing politicians have no more elections to win, they start admitting the kinds of things they would never utter if they had to please their kooky base. For Moran, leaving the political stage means it's time to drop a little truth on the President's signature law.
