David and Goliath in the Court of Public Opinion

David and Goliath in the Court of Public Opinion The Goliath narrative in 1 Samuel 17 opens with the Philistine army gathered for war against Israel.
"Saul and the Israelites are facing the Philistines in the Valley of Elah. Twice a day for 40 days, morning and evening, Goliath, the champion of the Philistines, comes out between the lines and challenges the Israelites to send out a champion of their own to decide the outcome in single combat, but Saul is afraid. David, bringing food for his elder brothers, hears that Goliath has defied the armies of God and of the reward from Saul to the one who defeats him, and accepts the challenge. Saul reluctantly agrees and offers his armor, which David declines, taking only his staff, sling and five stones from a brook."

Trusting the Untrustworthy

Trusting the Untrustworthy Sir Alexander Fraser Tytler (1747-1813), a Scottish jurist and historian, provides an explanation for why great societies do not survive for more than 200 years:
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largess from the public treasury. From that time on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury, with the results that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship (bondage).”

Trump Derangement Syndrome: A Prelude to Anarchy

Trump Derangement Syndrome: A Prelude to Anarchy The election of President Donald Trump is a clear and present danger to the emotional stability of those living in subjective reality because they cannot tolerate the threat of objective reality that President Trump represents. The incursion of objective reality is so threatening to anti-Trumpers that they break down psychologically and require medication and psychological services.

Nationalism is NOT a Dirty Word!

Nationalism is NOT a Dirty Word! When did American nationalism become a dirty word? Under Obama of course! Obama's leftist war against America is a war against American nationalism. America emerged from WWII as the most powerful economic nation on earth and invincible militarily. Enemies of the United States domestically and internationally would need a different strategy to defeat her.

Lying, Spying, Propagandizing - OH MY!

Smith-Bundt Modernization Act, Obama and Voice of America The Obama administration has been caught lying, spying, and propagandizing. In a cosmically outrageous attempt to defend the indefensible, the radical leftist Obama lemmings have decided that lying, spying, and propagandizing are not only acceptable - they are desirable - for our own good of course. OH MY! In an astonishing display of arrogant disregard for the Constitution and its protections, James Clapper unapologetically announced that he spied on President Trump to protect him - REALLY?? Just how stupid do Obama's sycophants think we are?
