The Bus, The Beast and the Dark Lord of Mordor

"One does not simply walk into Mordor. Its black gates are guarded by more than just Orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep, and the Great Eye is ever watchful. It is a barren wasteland, riddled with fire and ash and dust, the very air you breathe is a poisonous fume." --Boromir at the Council of Elrond As the Obama taxpayer-funded campaign through the Midwest unfolds, we in the Shire are, or should be, focused on the shiny new bus our Dark Lord is traveling on. According to Secret Service spokesman, Ed Donovan, there are two buses at a cost of $1.1 million each. They were purchased from the Hemphill Brothers Coach based in Tennessee. The good news is the manufacture of the buses created jobs -- in Canada. Correct, my Hobbit friends, while on a supposed jobs tour, the Dark Lord is traveling on a luxury bus built by Prevost, a Quebec based company. It's the company's top of the line VIP model normally used by Rock Bands. Would we expect any less for our own self-proclaimed rock star?

War in Afghanistan, Muslim Brotherhood in the White House and Ground Zero

As a mother and a grandmother words cannot express my heartfelt condolences to the families of the 31 servicemen we lost Friday night in Afghanistan. Our country is grieving with you and you are in our prayers. The U.S. military represents the best we have to offer; their love of country is beyond reproach.

Happy Hobbits?

Rejoice Hobbits; the Wall Street Journal has proclaimed "Tea Party Triumph". To quote from their August 1 Editorial, "The big picture is that the deal is a victory for the cause of smaller government, arguably the biggest since welfare reform in 1996". By the way, how is that welfare reform working out for you since we have more Americans collecting food stamps than at any time in our history?

Of Saruman, Uruk-Hai, and Rep. Thaddeus McCotter

While watching Fox News on Sunday I was treated to video of the newest entrant into the GOP Presidential field, Rep. Thaddeus McCotter. It seems Mr. McCotter feels it is disrespectful for we Hobbits to refer to the more liberal and moderate Republican members of Congress as RINOS. Speaking on behalf of the Shire Community, Mr. McCotter, if our elected Republicans did not morph into Democrats the term RINOS would not exist.

Commercial Drivers License’s for tractor riding Hobbit farmers?

While the media was keeping us occupied with 24/7 coverage of "Wienergate", the Dictator in Chief signed Executive Order 13575 establishing the White House Rural Council. Remember Rahm's battlecry, " never let a crisis go to waste". For those still not familiar with Agenda 21, this comes straight from the U.N. playbook.

Speaking as a Hobbit

On Wednesday the "vaunted" Wall Street Journal ran an article titled "Tea Party Hobbits" in which they referred to those of us in the Tea Party movement as Hobbits. With all due respect to WSJ, bring it on. If this is the best you can do, you at the Journal are lightweights in the name-calling game. We've endured name tags such as "racist", "right-wing extremists", "terrorists", etc. and all you have is hobbit? Speaking for myself, I'm proud to be a Hobbit.
