Sylvia Thompson is a black conservative writer whose aim is to counter the liberal spin on issues pertaining to race and culture.Ms. Thompson is a copy editor by trade currently residing in Tennessee. She formerly wrote for the Conservative Forum of Silicon Valley California Newsletter and the online conservative blog ChronWatch, also out of California. She grew up in Southeast Texas during the waning years of Jim Crow-era legalized segregation, and she concludes that race relations in America will never improve, nor will we ever elevate our culture, as long as there are victims to be pandered to and villains to be vilified. America is better served without victims or villains.

No, Trump Does Not Need “Face Time” in the Black Community

Aug 18, 2016 — Sylvia Thompson

Donald Trump’s recent speech regarding the atrocious state of urban, majority-black communities was a stellar achievement. As with much of the good he proposes for the nation, someone, somewhere will always impugn his efforts and this occasion was no different. Whatever can be done to hack away at his steely resolve will be done by those who are headed for irrelevance if this man becomes the next President of the United States.

The cry that I’m hearing from some folks is that Trump must “go into the black community” (give face time) if he is to prove himself “worthy” of the black vote. I excuse this type of thinking from people who are not black, such as Fox Business News anchor Lou Dobbs, because the assumption is that it’s a worthy thing to say—the candidate should show blacks how much he cares by going to them for supplication. That is an asinine assumption, but it has a nice flavor to it.

Trump Against the World, and He’s Winning

Aug 5, 2016 — Sylvia Thompson

A crippling defect in our national psyche makes otherwise reasoning people assume that past noble behavior or past events render some individuals immune to criticism for their current actions. This national weakness plays into the hands of those who would exploit it.

By now, all should know that the Muslim father, Khizr Khan, who attacked Donald Trump at the Democratic National Convention, is a proponent of sharia law—the same Islamic law that is diametrically opposed to the Constitution of the United States. Khizr Khan, it seems, is actively working to bring more sharia-compliant Muslims into America. Whatever his intent, sharia-compliant Muslims jeopardize our constitutional freedoms. Besides the article referenced below, others have exposed Khizr Khan, and only useful idiots who choose ignorance are still mouthing his “patriotism.”

“The Republican Party Platform: Finally, Pushback”

Jul 30, 2016 — Sylvia Thompson

I recall a while back reading a statement attributed to John Boehner, the former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. He was reported to have said that nobody reads the party platform. That may have been the case in the past, but if this one is ignored, there will be consequences to pay (2016 Republican National Platform).

After many disgusting years of Republican establishment types telling the American people one thing in its platform promises and proceeding to do other things, contrary to the people’s will, the 2016 platform has finally acknowledged the concerns of many conservatives.

Trump and Pence: Looking Forward

Jul 26, 2016 — Sylvia Thompson

Now that the suspense is over and Donald Trump has indeed clinched the Republican nomination to run for the 45th President of the United States of America, I find it helpful, as a biblical Christian, to assess the landscape going forward.

I am convinced that Donald Trump is the force necessary to begin eradication of the poison that is leftist progressivism in this country. I am equally convinced that Trump knows little about biblical Christianity. He clearly was reared in a home with Judeo-Christian influences. That fact reveals itself in how he reared his children. He self-identifies as Presbyterian, a protestant faith.

Donald Trump and Gonzalo Curiel

Jun 6, 2016 — Sylvia Thompson

Every mature, intelligent person in this country knows that the judge in the Trump University case, United States District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel, could very well be biased against Donald Trump, the one man who has the testicular fortitude to declare that he will build a wall on the Mexican border. Judge Curiel is of Mexican heritage.

There is, by the way, a law already on the books calling for building such a wall (Secure Fence Acts, 2006 and 2008), but establishment politicians in both parties have no interest in doing so.
