Beautiful: Airport gate attendant sings National Anthem to veterans returning to Normandy

Monday morning, a group of a dozen World War II veterans were waiting to board Delta flight 98 from Detroit to Paris. Several of the travelers would be returning to Omaha beach for the 70th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. When the veterans were announced over the PA system, they received a standing ovation from the other waiting passengers. ...And then they received something else. The American flag emerged from the causeway, and Delta gate attendant Anna Marie Barile began to sing.

NBC's Chuck Todd: White House expected 'euphoria' over Bergdahl swap

They were expecting a day of national euphoria. We were supposed to ignore the fact that Obama illegally traded five of the world's most dangerous terrorists for one anti-American deserter. Instead, we were all supposed to rally around Old Glory in some kind of "rah-rah government is awesome" moment. Sure, the administration expected questions about the continued existence of the Gitmo detention center and it was ready to field inquiries about the five captives it released but, if NBC's Chuck Todd is correct, it was not expecting outrage.

Susan Rice: We didn't negotiate with terrorists, Qatar did.

This weekend, White House national security adviser Susan Rice took a break from her busy schedule of scouring YouTube for blamable videos, and sat down with CNN's Candy Crowley. You may remember Crowley as the "journalist" who likes helping floundering Democrat Presidents score points in political debates. Crowley wanted to know if, in fact, the United States had negotiated with terrorists in its effort to secure Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's release.

Obama illegally trades 5 top-level terrorists for one anti-American deserter

By now you've undoubtedly heard the story. U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl has been released from 5 years of captivity, and is currently hospitalized in Germany. He'll be treated medically, as well as psychologically, before he comes home. That's the good news, and believe us when we tell you that we do, in fact, think it's good news.
