From Mumbai to Minneapolis, WHY it WILL happen here

imageI hope everyone takes a really deep, hard look at what happened last week in Mumbai, India, and at the terrorists who perpetrated the attack. And I hope this is done quickly, with a high degree of intellectual honesty and without the encumbrance of political correctness. The safety of every American, Canadian, Australian, and all Westerners, in fact depends on it, as does the security of our respective nations. If recent history provides us any insight, however, we will fall woefully short in our official analysis of this event, and fail to learn the lessons of Mumbai.

Our current economic crisis: Could part be a terror attack on U.S. financials?

On this year's anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, there was a sudden surge in the activity of U.S. hedge funds originating from overseas... like Dubai. There was a sharp rise in "short selling" of stocks, similar to the suspicious trades in the days preceding September 11, 2001. According to one well-known economist, the same institutions attacked on 9/11 are those suffering now. Coincidence?

Attack on “hate speech” is an attack on the messenger

Safaa IBRAHIMSafaa IBRAHIM is the Executive Director of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) - San Francisco Bay Area chapter in Santa Clara, California. Personally, I believe that she should also be yet another of CAIR’s poster children for advocating the repression of free speech when inconvenient facts get in the way of intellectual honesty.

Today, she lies dead in a Toronto morgue, the victim of a brutal strangulation. Her death was neither quick nor painless – no strangulations are.

Domestic Terrorism… California arson fires easier than hijacking planes

image Officials: Arson Behind Santiago Fire CA Fires Exclusive--Fed Source: Look to al Qaeda and the Islamic enemy in the U.S. Law enforcement officials will agree that arson is the most difficult of crimes to "prove," especially in terms of identifying the perpetrator(s). The fires this week in Southern California have cost more than $1 billion in lost property and displaced more than a million people, the greatest evacuation California has ever seen. The origin of the massive Santiago Canyon Fire alone has caused an estimated $10 million in damage, burning about 20,000 acres so far and damaging or destroying about 30 structures. That cause of that fire has been officially declared arson, according to federal officials, who identified two separate "points of origin." Currently, the FBI is involved in the primary investigation of the fires, including forensic collection and analysis and scene management.
