PM Host Mair: You’ve been incredibly kind about Piers Morgan. I can give you this opportunity to be horrible about him if you want. King: “I don’t want to be horrible about him, I think he’s a fine broadcaster, I haven’t seen a lot of him, the times I’ve seen him I think he’s fine.”King went on to say that he thought the problem was that he was oversold and that the public thought he was going to be dangerous, water cooler talk. Morgan has proven that he isn’t very dangerous and the only water cooler talk is that the show has consistently trailed in the ratings since its debut which isn’t what CNN was hoping for. As for the host giving King a chance to trash Morgan that wasn’t good journalism but an attempt to create a stir and even though I’m no fan of Larry King I’m glad he didn’t take the bait. Listen to the audio. Larry King talks to PM
