“On Monday, GQ political correspondent Keith Olbermann — formerly of MSNBC, ESPN (twice), Current TV, and a series of other outlets — suddenly announced his retirement from the world of political commentary. He left little explanation and no regret among audiences, who had largely neglected his show, except for comedic imitation."No more Olbermann in the yakety-yak world of political commentary. Woohoo! “Olbermann went on to talk about previous sexual misconduct allegations against Trump and said he finds it hard to believe that "the dam won't break" against him. (Washington Free Beacon, Nov. 27, 2017)
"It seems impossible to believe that some claimant somewhere does not have tangible evidence against Trump and that they won't say, ‘To hell with it,' and break one of those nondisclosure agreements and Trump will suddenly be envying Harvey Weinstein," Olbermann said.
“After talking about the seven different outcomes that he believes lead "inevitably" to the end of Trump's presidency, he announced that he is ready to enjoy life again and not talk about politics. (Free Beacon)Hope someone got that in writing.
"No illness. No scandal. No firing. Just I've said what I've had to say," Olbermann said. "It was as obvious as I made it seem. I give my work everything I can, so it's not like I can dial it back.” (Free Beacon) "I am retiring from political commentary in all media venues," Olbermann concluded. "Thank you for all the kind words and all the support. Have fun storming the castle. My work here is done. Matter of fact, so is Trump’s."Translated into truth talk, the farewell speech means that few paid much attention to the GQ political correspondent of a magazine that advocated it was a “civic duty” for liberals to ruin Thanksgiving dinner for one’s Republican relatives last week. (CFP: Surviving Thanksgiving Dinner With Your Lib-Left Relatives ) Itchy-eared Olbermann’s been listening to progressive-left Impeach Trump movement leaders like the impeachment-obsessed Maxine Waters who have convinced themselves that Trump will be brought down, any day now. But the reality is that Olbermann’s come to the end of the road; that the river’s flowed past blowhard political commentators like him leaving them thrown up on its muddy banks.
“Yes, Olbermann thinks his work here is done — Trump’s presidency is about to meet its imminent demise because of “Pocahontas” or something. (Daily Wire) “He explained: “I am confident now, even more so than I have been over the last year that this nightmare presidency of Donald John Trump will end prematurely and end soon, and I am thus also confident that this is the correct moment to end this series of commentaries…This ballgame is also over and I don’t think it’s going to last another 13 months. And so this series is over. “Olbermann says that he’s burned out. It’s been “pain” for him, says Olbermann. “No illness, no scandal, no firing, just I’ve said what I’ve had to say…I am retiring from political commentary in all media venues.” “Already, speculation has begun that there is another reason Olbermann is stepping down. Perhaps it’s to take care of his cats. But we’ll soon find out.”Some are bound to find it downright laughable that Olbermann, who tied his melodramatic departure from political commentary with “the nightmare presidency of Donald John Trump ending prematurely and ending soon”, when, in the end, he was upstaged by impeach Trump hungry Maxine Waters.
