Protocol will ensure that Canada’s Selfie-seeking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be on his best behaviour when he meets with President Donald J. Trump in Washington on Monday. Some see it as symbolic that then President Barack Hussein Obama came to Ottawa in 2009, but President Donald Trump is not going to Ottawa, Trudeau’s going to Washington, D.C.

Bambi Visits Godzilla

Wags are already joking that the meeting is of a Bambi Visits Godzilla nature. They may be overlooking that this is a Bambi who happens to carry the legacy of a gone-back-to-the-shadows Obama in his breast pocket. Trudeau advocates in the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) will portray the Democrat-loving Canadian prime minister as some kind of conquering hero. CBC is Canada’s CNN kept afloat by one billion Canadian taxpayers’ dollars a year. With every hair moussed in place and oozing the kind of charm that is the King Selfie’s signature, it’s not likely Trudeau will mention what his 16-month-old administration is up to the day after his D.C. visit. That’s the day that Trudeau is set to give his blessing to Canada’s so-called anti-Islamophobia law that guarantees to brand every critic of Islam as an “Islamophobe”. That’s the day when Liberal MP and former York University Muslim Student Association President Iqra Khalid’s M-103, which has the unobjectionable and cunning title of “Systemic racism and religious discrimination,” will be up for a vote. Word is that Khalid’s supporters of Bill 103 will easily carry the vote. They’re piously touting Bill 103 as a bill that will legislate against “religious discrimination”.
“Scratch below the surface and it’s immediately clear this is hardly about religious discrimination in general. It singles out Islamophobia by name and nothing else. There’s no mention of, say, anti-Semitism at all. (Toronto Sun, Jan. 28, 2017)
“Its first point is to “recognize the need to quell the increasing public climate of hate and fear.” What a vague and unsubstantiated sentence. This is lawmaking, folks, not social justice warrior blogging. “The motion then goes on to direct MPs to take note of a petition on the government’s website that was signed by tens of thousands of Canadians. “Recently, an infinitesimally small number of extremist individuals have conducted terrorist activities while claiming to speak for the religion of Islam,” petition E-411 notes. “Their actions have been used as a pretext for a notable rise of anti-Muslim sentiments in Canada.” “It continues: “These violent individuals do not reflect in any way the values of the teachings of all the religion of Islam. In fact, they misrepresent the religion. We categorically reject all their activities. They in no way represent the religion, the beliefs and the desire of Muslims to co-exist in peace with all peoples of the world.” “Then — and here’s where the trouble really takes root — the petition says “we ... call upon the House of Commons to join us in recognizing that extremist individuals do not represent the religion of Islam, and in condemning all forms of Islamophobia.” “Hang on a second ... first they’re talking about terrorists but then they end with “extremist individuals.” Not the same thing. Not at all. You can be an extremist, a radical, a supremacist, without being a terrorist. “The ummah isn’t a binary world of a few terrorists on one side and then over a billion moderate liberals on the other. There’s a massive grey area that holds severely orthodox values completely at odds with the West. And we should all feel free to call them out for it. “But you can see how denouncing a radical imam for his Shariah advocacy could end up being considered, in the eyes of this motion, an Islamophobic act that’s a part of this alleged uptick in public fear. This is an attempt to silence rational critics of political Islam.”

Justin Trudeau can flash the perfect smile. Say Cheese, Washington!

This couldn’t possibly be happening at a worse time for the U.S.A. Unvetted immigrants to Canada will have access to some 5,525 miles of undefended U.S./Canada border, and unlike Mexico, no one’s talking about building a Canadian wall. Three, unelected, Democrat judges only yesterday toppled Trump’s authority allowing migrants from seven Muslim-dominated countries into the U.S. before they can be vetted. This move means that during the long wait to get the temporary Trump travel ban before the Supreme Court, there is zero effective means to stop potential terrorists masquerading as ‘refugees’ from flooding U.S. borders. In other words even though the Constitution allows the President the authority to stop illegals from getting into America until vetted, he’s been over-ridden by the Democrats using a long drawn out court battle as a stalling tactic. Meanwhile, for all of his spit and polish, Justin Trudeau is a Democrat under the skin—the one Barack Obama’s campaign team helped to install in the Canadian Prime Minister’s Office. And the one who’ll never get that ‘Without America there is no Free World’. But from a long career of Selfie practicing, Justin Trudeau can flash the perfect smile. Say Cheese, Washington!
