The rumbling began during the last election. Then the Democrats lost to Donald Trump, and the rumbling grew louder. Nancy Pelosi was, increasingly, being viewed as the liability that she unquestionably is. Over the course of the last few weeks, we've heard from an ever-growing array of Democrats who think it's time for Nancy Pelosi to get the boot from her leadership position - if not retire altogether. But don't tell Nancy that. She may not think winning is important, and the Dems are currently at their lowest level of power in a hundred years, but she's pretty sure her party is doing just fine.
In fact, this morning on The View (aka the worst show in the world) Pelosi rebuffed even the slightest suggestion that there was any sort of rift among the Democrat ranks. Nancy seems to believe that, Unlike the Republicans, Democrats are 100% united. There is no fracture, no rift, no "breaking dam." It's one big happy family on the left, and any minor squabbles are simply representative of - get this - the "vitality" of their party. Yes, all those Democrats who've realized that Nancy Pelosi is helping to demolish their national electoral prospects are just emblematic of how healthy their party is... I'm tempted to make jokes about how delusional our beloved former Speaker has become but, God love her, I just can't stay angry at such a "glass is half full" type person.
