President Trump Confirms Blooming of Fig Tree

"Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it." (Zechariah 12: 2,3) The verses from the Bible were written thousands of years ago. The prophet Zechariah said that there would be a time, a time close to what Christians call the "End Times", that Israel would be the center of world strife. Israel was destroyed in 70 A.D., and the temple in Jerusalem was taken apart brick by brick.

Adolph Hitler's Nazi Germany slaughtered over 6 million Jews, after a nearly 1,900 year scattering of Israel across the globe. From a historical perspective, the forces against the existence of Israel have been full throttle at working to ensure that Israel never rose again. Yet, Israel was reborn May 14, 1948.

"And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn." (Zechariah 12: 9,10)

Today, the greatest fight on the globe that is constantly blaring on our television screens revolves around Israel, and the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Islam claims the Temple Mount belongs to them. In the Bible it is called Mount Zion, the high hill on which David built a citadel. It is on the southeast side of Jerusalem. "Zion" appears over 150 times in the Bible, essentially meaning "fortification," and "monument" (as in one that has been "raised up"). "Zion" is presented in the Bible as both the city of David and the city of God. In the Bible, Mount Zion is declared as being "Holy." The prophet Isaiah wrote, "Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously." (Isaiah 24:23). Now, Mount Zion is the center of attention. It is a critical part of the "time of Jacob's trouble", an event that began when Israel became a nation, May 14, 1948. The event was expanded in 1967, when Jerusalem was finally retrieved by Israel. The Fig Tree is blooming, and the Bible has much to say about the troubles that will be surrounding that Fig Tree. "Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer [is] nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, [even] at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." Matthew 24:32-34 The Apostles asked Jesus about the Last Days, "And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." Matthew 24: 4-6

Parable of the Fig Tree

Then, he told them about the Parable of the Fig Tree. They learned that the generation alive during the End Times would witness the budding of the Fig Tree, and that Fig Tree would bloom, putting forth it's leaves. Israel is the "fig tree". The Fig Tree began to bud on May 14, 1948. The blooming of the Fig Tree was in full force in 1967 after The Six Day War when Jerusalem was finally added to Israel's interior. The generation that saw both of these things is still with us. But, they are in their last days. Now, we have the whole world turning its attention to Israel. Iran and Saudi Arabia are on the verge of war. Russia and China have signed a pact and have been pumping money, personnel and equipment into the Middle East. Iran has achieved nuclear status, and has voiced its desire to wipe Israel off the map. "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." Matthew 24:44 President Donald J. Trump of the United States campaigned on the notion of moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem, from Tel Aviv. The move would be a confirmation of America's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a move that would send the Muslim World into a hissy fit. As promised, President Trump has announced his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital city, and he has begun the process of moving the U.S. embassy there from Tel Aviv "Today we finally acknowledge the obvious, that Jerusalem is Israel's capital. This is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality," he said.

The Light shall outshine the darkness

Violent protests are emerging around several U.S. embassies across the Middle East. Palestinian leaders have encouraged worldwide demonstrations and called for Palestinians to engage in "three days of rage." All embassy travel outside of Amman, the capital of Jordan, has been temporarily suspended, and children of U.S. officials were instructed not to attend school on Thursday. In Turkey, the U.S. embassy in Ankara stated that it was aware of plans by several groups to stage public protests, and urged U.S. citizens to avoid areas of large gatherings, particularly around U.S. outposts in Ankara, Istanbul and Adana. Trump's move is something we should have been doing all along, according to the platforms of both political parties in the United States. . . yet, now, suddenly, they are critical. They are saying Trump ruined the Middle East peace process. The problem is not Israel. The problem is not the U.S. The challenge to peace in the Middle East is Islam. Trump's decision is about more than if a city is recognized by the United States as a capital or not. This is about challenging those who challenges Israel's right to exist. The Muslim World does not recognize Israel's right to exist, therefore they demand that nobody does. For the United States to also deny Israel, and deny Jerusalem as Israel's capital is to deny the religious and historic connection between the city and the Jews. Moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem is not only the right thing, and the obvious thing, to do, it is a pushback against Islam's constant attack on our closest ally. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." John 1:1-5 The Light shall outshine the darkness.
