In their first live interview together, what were President Barack Obama and his overbearing wife, Michelle doing? Complaining about their “one major complaint” about their White House tenure: “TheWiFi is terrible.” (Daily Mail Feb. 7, 2016) There’s never any relief for the millions who are sickened by the omnipresence of the world’s loudest malcontents, because if you deliberately missed them while they were speaking to CBS’s fawning Gayle King on Sunday, you could pick up the story of the interview on Britain’s Daily Mail, in the country that Obama’s self-proclaimed “brother” Prime Minister Davey Cameron calls home.
King unwittingly may have set off the world’s biggest party mood by touching upon the subject of Obama’s post-presidency, but was sure to draw groans when she asked the couple if they had any advice for the soon to be incoming first family. This is a journalist who really did ask if the White House ‘water pressure (is) good?’ ‘Is there WiFi?’ ‘Does the toilet run in the Lincoln bedroom?’
'You know that whole tech thing, we've been trying to get that straight for the next group of folks,' Obama answered. 'This is an old building so there's a lot of dead spots where the WiFi doesn't work.' (Daily Mail) “Michelle jumped in to say that their teenage daughters are 'just irritated' by the WiFi issues at their home. “
Poor darlings! If anyone’s really interested, Obama said for Super Bowl that they've hosted a party at the White House with a group of friends for the last 'four or five years'.

And get this: this year Michelle “cooked for hours” preparing for the big day, but this time left ‘Let's Move off the table' for a day to eat 'regular Super Bowl food'. The unappealing rabbit food she extols in ‘Let’s Move’ is only for school kids.
'We have wings, pizza, nachos,' Obama said, with Michelle adding that there would be at least two salads on the food table. (Daily Mail) “And they said their big football party is just like everyone else's around the country, and that guests 'rate the commercials'.  “Michelle said there are three types of game day guests at the house on Sunday.   'We have the serious watchers,' she said. 'Then there's the outside room where all the kids are fooling around, and then there's the champagne room. That's where my mother sits, and you don't actually know what's going on (in the game) but you're close to the champagne.'
Holey Moley: Is Michelle’s Momma a secret champs tippler?
“Michelle added that she cares 'deeply about the the halftime show, deeply'.  (Daily Mail) 'I got dressed for the halftime show,' she said, joking that she discussed dance moves with Beyonce, who was performing with Cold Play and Bruno Mars at halftime.  “With references to the Black Lives Matter movement, Malcolm X and the Black Panthers, Beyoncé’s half-time show at the Super Bowl on Sunday might be the most radical political statement from the superstar in her 20-year career. (The Guardian) “Backing dancers wearing Black Panther-style berets and clad in black leather were photographed after the performance posing with raised fists evocative of the black power salute by Tommie Smith and John Carlos at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. “The visual homage, 50 years after the formation of the radical civil rights group, came just days after Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z announced that he would donate $1.5m (£1m) raised at a charity concert run by his streaming service Tidal last year to the Black Lives Matter movement and other social justice organisations. “Snapped backstage, the dancers also held a picture with the slogan “Justice 4 Mario Woods”, who was shot dead last December by police in San Francisco, this year’s Super Bowl host city.”
Michelle wasn’t there on the stage at Super Bowl half time, but was dressed and waiting for it in the White House metaphorically giving the black power salute. Good activism doesn’t require being there in body but only in spirit. Meanwhile, it’s not just the WiFi that doesn’t work in the White House. It’s everything else.
