The Middle East is on fire: Muslims killing Muslims and killing Yazidis and Christians, destroying holy sites and trying ever so diligently to destroy Israel-the land of the Jewish people

It is the ethic that promotes intolerance

In the year 2000, Bernard Lewis in his book What Went Wrong, wrote this about Muslims: “If they can abandon grievances and victimhood, settle their differences, and join their talents, energies and resources in a common endeavor, then they can once again make the Middle East, in modern times as it was in antiquity and in the Middle Ages, a major center of civilization. For the time being the choice is their own.” Recently, Fawaz Gerges, professor at the London School of Economics, and Middle East specialist, wrote optimistically of the future of Islam in his book ISIS : A History. If Islam goes through an intellectual reformation and mosque and state are separated, then ISIS will no longer be a problem.
There is an old Jewish saying that I will clean up for publication “if the Grandmother had…wheels, she would be… a bus.” We continue to see that Muslim countries, particularly in the Middle East and North Africa, have chosen hate, and Muslims in European countries have chosen to play the victim card. They join Islamic organizations who murder innocents in the name of expanding the Caliphate and the Islamic(Sharia) call to peace in our time.. The problem is language. The meaning of “peace.” Peace in our time in Islam does not mean the same thing as it does to us in the West. Peace in Islam means submission to Allah. The ultimate meaning of Islamic peace is all of us living in Dar-al-Islam—the house of submission. This is not a “radical” interpretation. Modern-day Islamic scholar, Ibrahim Sulaiman, says submission and peace can be very different concepts, even if a form of peace is often brought about through forcing others into submission. “Jihad is not inhumane, despite its necessary violence and bloodshed, its ultimate desire is peace which is protected and enhanced by the rule of law.” Armed responses are only permitted when all peaceful possibilities have failed. And once armed resistance begins it doesn’t stop “until the war lays down its burden” as Allah has mentioned in the Qur’an 47. (Emphasis mine) These statements should come as no surprise because we hear this from Islamic leaders on a regular basis. Islam allows for intolerance of and a refusal to include or accommodate others and permits the teaching of hate for the other. Sharia law stipulates that if a Muslim is praying and a dog, pig, woman, Jew or Christian walks in front of him, his prayers are worthless and he must begin the entire ritual once again.

These teachings come from the ethic (Sharia Law) that underpins Islam, an ethic which fosters more of the natural order (instincts) than the moral order. It was the great Dutch philosopher Spinoza who wrote in Tractatus Politicus (1676) that there is a difference between natural and moral order. “The law and ordinance of nature under which all men are born, and for the most part live, forbids nothing but what no one wishes or is able to do and is not opposed to strife, hatred, anger, treachery, or in general anything that appetite suggests.” (Emphasis mine) As I have written in my book Back to the Ethic: Reclaiming Western Values, ethical monotheism, the foundation of all western culture, is diametrically opposed to Islam. First, it is based on free-will, not submission. Ethical monotheism, the Judeo/Christian ethic, makes demands on the natural order by imposing a moral order that calls for care for the other, tolerance, inclusion and accommodation and does not permit the teaching of hate. The Judeo/Christian ethic is frequently under attack from hateful ideology. “I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator by defending myself against the Jew. I am fighting for the work of the Lord. We are God’s people.” “Whoever knows the Jew knows the devil.” “And now two worlds face one another-the men of God and the men of Satan. The Jew is the anti-man, the creature of another god. He must have come from another root of the human race.”

These statements were made by Hitler, but one can be forgiven for thinking these were statements made by Muslims. The intent is the same. And the comments frighteningly similar. Mr. Abbas, the Palestinian Authority president, said the following on Palestinian television in the fall of 2015: “We welcome every drop of blood spilled in Jerusalem. This is pure blood, clean blood, blood on its way to Allah. With the help of Allah, every martyr will be in heaven, and every wounded will get his reward.” And “In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli – civilian or soldier – on our lands.” Those lands would be between the river and the sea. PA TV Preacher: "Allah, punish Your enemies, the enemies of religion, count their numbers and kill them to the last one, and bring them a black day. Allah, punish the wicked Jews, and those among the atheists who help them. Allah, we ask that You bestow upon us respect and honor by enabling us to repel them, and we ask You to save us from their evil." [Official PA TV, April 22, 2016] And all of this is understandable as the Muslims learned at the feet of the Nazis, an earlier group with world domination at its core. We are learning more about the connections between Hitler and the Grand Mufti, and the aid the Nazis gave to the Muslims in ‘Palestine.’ “The Grand Mufti also helped organize a Muslim Waffen SS Battalion, known as the Hanjars, that slaughtered ninety percent of Bosnia’s Jews, and were dispatched to Croatia and Hungary. The Mufti also made broadcasts to the Middle East urging Arabs and Muslims to honor Allah by implementing their own Final Solution. The Grand Mufti will be remembered as one the twentieth century’s most virulent Jew haters and a key cheerleader for Hitler’s genocidal Final Solution.” The Mufti expressed his appreciation of Germany’s commitment to the “elimination of the Jewish national home,” while Hitler restated his “active opposition to the Jewish national home in Palestine, which was nothing other than a center, in the form of a state, for the exercise of destructive influence by Jewish interests.” Germany provided the Mufti with a lucrative stipend and an administrative office in Berlin, the Bureau of the “Grand Mufti,” and encouraged him to believe that the Third Reich would recognize him as the leader of Arabs and even of Muslims worldwide. Our concerns, today, about Islam are not new. They are neither racist nor Islamophobic as the self-proclaimed “Progressives” like to accuse. In 1899 Winston Churchill wrote:
"The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."
The Middle East is on fire: Muslims killing Muslims and killing Yazidis and Christians, destroying holy sites and trying ever so diligently to destroy Israel-the land of the Jewish people. Seems nothing has changed since 1899. My Grandmother has a better chance of becoming a bus than the Arabs in the Middle East have becoming a proud reformed civilization.
