Here's hoping this happen, because it would be fantastic television. Plus, it's a smart move for both candidates. Trump's right that when he says the ratings would be gigantic and - whatever Bernie's endgame is - the exposure can only help him. On the other side things, Trump's positivity should fare well against the Marxist curmudgeon. Think about it: The flashy "make America Great Again" billionaire gets to take the stage with an allegedly impoverished socialist whose campaign theme seems to be "everything's awful, so let's tax the hell out of everyone." There's a good chance you'll never again see a more glaring dichotomy between two political figures. The question will be: Which version of America do voters want? Wealthy, powerful, and (occasionally to a fault) brash, or dour, dependent, and taxed into a deepening collapse? There's no way Trump loses that argument and, as a bonus, he gets to marginalize a cowering Hillary Clinton in the process. Here's the exchange:Game on.
