It was fun, too! At least for us

That day when Herman, Shane, Ashley and Jared amused themselves by weirding people out

In a sea of news negativity, people need to find things to laugh about. Life is not over because of a tragedy, it happens to all of us. Mourn, recover and go on. So here are some suggestions Ashley found that we used on the radio show - things we, our listeners and each other had a blast with. Although the original article was about how to cure boredom at work, some of these things might get you fired.
So don't try these ideas unless you are sure your boss has a sense of humor. Be very sure! We divided these up amongst Shane, Ashley, Jared and me so we could react to each other, which made it even funnier. You may want to try this with a group of co-workers. Just maybe!

WAYS TO CURE BOREDOM AT WORK: (Or . . . how to get fired.)

Shane: At lunchtime, sit in your parked car wearing sunglasses and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down. (Shane thought this was perfectly normal.) Jared: Every time someone asks you to do something, as if they'd like fries with that. (Jared is a millennial. He didn't think this was unusual.)

Ashley: Put your garbage can on your desk and label it "in". (Ashley already does this, actually. You should try her job of screeing calls.) Herman: As often as possible, skip rather than walk. (At my age, my knees will not really allow this.) Shane: Ask people what sex they are. Laugh hysterically after they answer. (When Shane tried it, people didn't seem to think it was funny for some reason.) Jared: Specify that your drive-thru order is "to go." (I told you Jared is a millennial. He does this anyway.) Ashley: Put mosquito netting around your work area and play tropical sounds all day. (She has the netting but not the sounds.) Herman: Tell your children over dinner: "Due to the economy, we are going to have to let one of you go." (My children are already grown and gone. The grandchildren didn't laugh.) Well, we certainly amused ourselves. Hopefully some of those who got caught up in our madness laughed along with it. And hopefully you too see the value of laughing for the health of it.
