There's no such thing as a tax loophole

Morning Joe: If you're mad at Trump for following the tax code, you're a 'freaking hypocrite'

I've argued, on several occasions that there's no such thing as a tax loophole. It simply doesn't exist. There's the tax code as written. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less. The term "tax loophole" is a loaded term used by liberals who want to imply that someone has committed the crime of tax evasion when they haven't. What they're really doing is attacking successful people for being smart enough to know the tax laws and follow them. Heck, even the New York Times, in the midst of its "Trump taxes" hit piece, admitted as much. The only sentence in the Times article you need to read is the one highlighted below:
Morning Joe: If you're mad a Trump for following the tax code, you're probably a hypocrite
If Trump was running as a Democrat, that sentence would have guaranteed they'd never run the piece. No wrongdoing. End of story. They'd simply continue calling Trump a "Comeback kid." Yet Hillary's back out there, as she always is, screeching about people not paying their fair share. Never mind that she's done exactly the same thing Trump did. Forget about the fact that she did it more recently. He's greedy and evil or something - while she's as pure as a fresh blanket of snow on Christmas Morning. Well, the folks at Morning Joe have had enough of that baloney. They're no fans of Trump, but they're flabbergasted that someone as deeply corrupt as Hillary would dare complain about his taxes. According to the host, she (and others like her) are nothing more than hypocrites.
“This tax thing, I’m sorry, this tax thing, please, find me one person that pays more taxes than they have to pay. You can’t do it! So everybody that’s acting so shocked that he did what he was legally entitled to do is a freaking hypocrite! That’s why Warren Buffett goes, ‘oh, rich people need to pay,’ well pay more money, Warren Buffett!”
