Peace - Be Still

WASHINGTON, DC - Last night, in several cities around the country, demonstrators gathered to protest the election. Many of these events were organized by the liberal group, Moveon.org, which sent out an email urging people to organize a demonstration. Some were organized by Black Lives Matter, Bernie Sanders' supporters and socialists. Based on the past experience, there is little doubt that George Soros provided funding for many of these efforts.

"America has just come through one of the most divisive elections in history. It is now time to heal the wounds and unite around our common shared values and to trust in God for our future," said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel. "The politics of division have been at work for a long time, but the last seven and a half years under President Obama have resulted in a fractured country divided by race, ethnicity, socio-economic status and religion. We know that groups like Moveon.org and billionaires like George Soros have sought to achieve their deconstruction of order by dividing people into distinct categories and making them war against each other. The election kept the politics of division in the news for nearly two years. It is time to remember that each person is created in the image of God. It is time to come together," said Staver. "While each of us must be sensitive to the fears of our fellow Americans, we must be aware that there are organizations with an agenda that will fan the fires of division. We must be aware of this agenda and reject it. We must comfort those who are distressed and reject the agenda of division," Staver said. "America is deeply divided on core moral issues. There are groups that want to erase God from our memories and organizations that exist on the suffering of innocent children who are torn apart in the womb. We must not compromise and give into those destructive policies. And at the same time, we must view every person who is hurting and those disagree with us through the eyes of Jesus. We need to return to the core values that made America great, and once again, be one nation under God, indivisible," said Staver.
