Right now, the left is like a drowning man scrambling for a life preserver made of lead. They think they know why they're sinking, but every time they latch on to an explanation, it only takes them down faster. Most of the time, the claims upon which they hang their excuses represent the very ignorance which cost them the election in the first place: Everyone's a racist, everyone's a 'phobe,' and everyone hates immigrants.
They stubbornly refuse to admit that they responded to a "change" election by running a crooked career politician who was despised even by members of her own party.
It's a lot of fun to watch, and the excuses just keep getting crazier.
The newest version of their post-election cop-out may just take the cake, though.
According to Mrs. Clinton's communications director, Hillary lost because white women have "internalized misogyny." That's right. White women hate women - and they don't even know it!
As she puts it:
"Internalized misogyny is a real thing and it’s something we have to be talking about. The president said it the best during this whole campaign. We as a society react poorly to women seeking positions of power.
We are uncomfortable about that, and then we seek to justify that uncomfortable feeling because it can’t possibly be because we don’t want to see a woman in that position of power.
These women must simply harbor some kind of subconscious hatred of... women
As we figure out exactly what happened with turnout, it seems to be white college educated women. My guess is that breaks down married, unmarried. My guess is that is breaks down older, younger, but we have work to do talking to those women about what happened this year and why, why we would vote against our self-interests.”
In other words, college educated white women could have no legitimate reason for refusing to support Hillary Clinton. They can't care about the 2nd Amendment, they can't care about the make-up of the Supreme Court, and they can't possibly care about Hillary's cornucopia of scandal. These women must simply harbor some kind of subconscious hatred of... women.

Hey, remember when Dems were claiming that college educated whites were going to vote for Hillary in droves? Good times.
Obviously, this is all ridiculous. Men and women - white or otherwise - would have no problem voting for a female candidate. In fact, they'd love to do so. However, that candidate isn't going to get votes based simply on her gender. ...And that's what's really driving the left nuts here.

Progressives genuinely believed that saying "you have to vote for the first female President" would be enough to force a bitter pill down the throat of the electorate.
They were spectacularly wrong.
Let's hope they don't learn their lesson.
