Tim Kaine: We need to condemn this 'gun violence' at Ohio State

I guess it would be too much to ask Hillary's running mate to condemn radical Islamic terrorism by a Somali refugee. And maybe the Democrats aren't quite ready with their machete control talking points. But this . . . is . . . weak:
Needless to say, Abdul Razak Ali Artan didn't use a gun. He rammed a building with his car and attacked his victims with a machete, which is what lots of other violent criminals would do if the Democrats were to ever realize their dream of banning guns. Oh, Artan also deployed a sense of victimhood because - you'll love this - he was tired of people portraying Muslims as terrorists:
That student, Abdul Razak Ali Artan, wrote that he was "sick and tired" of seeing Muslims "killed and tortured," law enforcement officials said. He then wrote that the United States should stop interfering with other countries, particularly the "Muslim Unmah." He also previously told the school newspaper that he was scared of praying on campus because he believed there was bias against Muslims. Law enforcement is considering the possibility that this was a terrorist attack.
Huh. You think? I wonder where law enforcement might be getting the idea that this was a terrorist attack. I wonder where people might be getting the idea that there's a connection between Islam and terrorism?

Hint: It's not from Muslims praying. It's from Muslims driving cars into buildings, or attacking people with machetes, or attacking people with guns, or bombs. Don't these people know that everything bad that happens in America, whether it involves a gun or not, falls under the rubric of "gun violence" and is automatically an excuse for guns to be banned? Or at least for Democrats to yelp about same? There is a policy change that could have prevented this incident. The United States could have been more discerning about letting in refugees from Somalia, recognizing at least the potential that some of them could engage in terrorism. But that is never a priority for the Obama Administration, just as it would not have been a priority for a Hillary/Kaine administration. Thank God we dodged that bullet . . . er, machete.
