That was the left-wing media's mantra throughout the last couple of months of the 2016 election. Hillary's clumsy, rusty, train wreck of a campaign was going to cruise to an easy win, but Donald Trump - that monster - was going to cause problems after the fact. As always, Hillary was destined to be the victim of a big, mean, man who couldn't stomach her obvious superiority.
Then it all came crumbling down.
Hillary was trounced, and suddenly "accepting the results" wasn't so important. ...Suddenly the lefties were salivating over widely debunked rumors of hacking and a ridiculous recount effort led by Jill Stein - one of the goofiest of 2016's joke candidates. Most of the mainstream media was quick to take the bait.
A longshot it may be but, after being so disastrously wrong about their terrible candidate, Hillary's press allies were willing to overlook any hypocrisy if it meant there was even the faintest hope of overturning the election.
