Trudeau’s praise of Castro shows he has no values

As the entire world knows by now, the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, prime minister of Canada, heaped praise on the late Fidel Castro, dictator of Cuba. In a release shortly after Castro’s death, Trudeau described the brutal dictator as the “longest serving president” who was dedicated to and loved the Cuban people. Offering his condolences to the vicious thug was bad enough but Trudeau expressed his sorrow not only on behalf of himself and his wife but “on behalf of all Canadians.” To right-thinking Canadians who abhor Cuba’s brutal regime, this was the most outrageous part of his statement praising the dead dictator.

#trudeaueulogies: Canada became the international laughing stock of the civilized world.

Soon after Trudeau released his statement, the hashtag #trudeaueulogies began with people mockingly expressing praise for other dictators such as Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin. Canada became the international laughing stock of the civilized world. Trudeau has made no secret of his love of dictatorships. Back in 2013, he expressed his admiration for China because that country’s dictatorship allows the government to get things done. They don’t have pesky elected representatives that prevent the heads of the government from doing anything they want to. The fact that ordinary Chinese suffer under the dictatorship never crossed the prime minister’s mind. The notion of “Canadian values” has been a major issue in Canada as a result of comments made by Dr. Kellie Leitch. Leitch, a candidate for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada, said that immigrants who want to come to Canada should be vetted to make sure they have Canadian values. Leitch defined these values as tolerance for other religions, sexual orientations and cultures. Those who should be kept out of Canada include people who are misogynist, violent, and those who do not believe in our personal and economic freedoms. Leitch was castigated not only by the Castro-loving left such as Trudeau but by fellow candidates for the Tory leadership who accused her of being anti-immigrant. In describing Leitch, references were often made to Donald Trump by those who see the president-elect as someone who will end the world as they know it faster than climate change will.

Trudeau does not like or support Canadian values

Trudeau does not like or support Canadian values. He said as much last year when he said Canada has no core identity and no mainstream. He described Canada as the first “post-national state.” Obviously if the country has no core identity it cannot have any core values. Not only does Trudeau oppose vetting immigrants for Canadian values, he believes these values do not or should not exist. Our values are everyone else’s values, including those of radical Islamists and thug dictators. Trudeau is often described as a hypocrite. But he is not really. In order to be a hypocrite, one must have a belief system and then act contrary to those values. But Trudeau is devoid of the values that once made Canada a great country. If you agree with the premise the prime minister has no love for Canada, its history or its values, then his seemingly contradictory positions can be explained. For example, he loves to brag about being a feminist; yet he is perfectly happy going to radical mosques where women are segregated and treated as second-class citizens. He sees nothing wrong with surrounding himself with radical Muslims who think gays should be killed and then running off to a gay pride parade and taking selfies with half naked people. Because he has no core values, he has no empathy for women who are stoned to death or gays who are thrown off the roofs of buildings. It is this lack of values that enables him to praise Castro for Cuba’s literacy rates and healthcare system while not being bothered about the thousands of Cubans who have been jailed, tortured and killed because of their political ideas.

It is easy to dismiss Trudeau as simply being a narcissist

It is easy to dismiss Trudeau as simply being a narcissist. But that in itself does not explain his total indifference to the suffering of gays and women under Islam or the thousands of people who were tortured and killed in Castro’s Cuba or who died attempting to leave what Trudeau thinks is an island paradise. Bill Clinton is a narcissist but he still had a system of values albeit far left ones. And the greatest narcissist of our time, Barack Obama, has a value system. At least Obama has empathy for those he perceives as victims of an imperialistic racist United States such as blacks “executed” by white cops. But Trudeau has zero empathy for anyone. If he could get away with it, he would gladly rule Canada the way his close friend Fidel ruled Cuba. His admiration for brutal dictatorships knows no bounds. Eventually, those in the middle class who voted for Trudeau because of his promises to help them will learn he is no more concerned for their welfare than he is for those who were executed for being gay or who died in Castro’s prisons. Justin Trudeau is one sick puppy. But he has nice hair.
