False news

Hey media, how about telling the truth rather than expressing your leanings?

The "fake news" narrative liberals are trying to perpetuate is nothing more than false news. News is either true or false. Yes, reporters and news organizations can slant a story in one direction or another, depending on their leanings. They can lean more toward the truth or more toward ambiguity, innuendos or self-serving conclusions. If reporters, journalists and news organizations would just focus on telling the truth instead of expressing their leanings, then they could start building back their credibility with the public. Right now, the media's overall credibility sucks.

No reporters tried this "talking over the president" crap during eight painful years of Obama

The media's overall credibility is so low that some media types thinks it's OK for a reporter to be disrespectful to President-elect Trump during a press conference. It’s not OK! It's not OK because no reporters tried this "talking over the president" crap during eight painful years of Obama. And you lost your turn, Jim Acosta, when your news organization, CNN, pushed a non-verifiable story as if it were true. Memo to news media! The harder you work to report the truth instead of your leanings, the easier it will be to be recognized during a news conference to ask a question. It's common sense, not preferential treatment. From my personal experience as a presidential candidate, I learned that questions from the media were always intended to confirm their leanings, embarrass the candidate, or extract a catchy negative headline for their story. Positive catchy headlines don't get reporters as many kudos from their editors as negative catchy headlines. Example, what do most of us remember from that first press conference with President-elect Trump, other than the exchange with Acosta? Not much! For me, it was the legal firewall Trump is setting up between him as president and his business empire. He's taking extraordinary steps he's not required to take to avoid conflicts of interest. Trump is doing this for positive public perception, not media perception, because they will never be satisfied. That wouldn’t comport to their leanings. False news is not going to go away, because of the competition for audience, liberal leanings, and the proliferation of cable, traditional, and social media for news you can use, and sometimes news you should lose. Just tell the truth! What a novel idea!
