WASHINGTON--Institute for Energy Research President Thomas Pyle issued the following statement after the State Department approved the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline: "The Keystone XL pipeline is an economic no-brainer and has successfully gone through all the necessary environmental reviews. The State Department clearly made the right call by reversing the Obama administration's politically motivated decision. "President Trump is showing that he won't engage in the same political foot-dragging as his predecessor. This will provide much-needed certainty for businesses looking to invest in America's energy infrastructure. While Keystone XL still faces a few hurdles, we're hopeful that the project will continue to move forward after years of senseless delays."
