I know I am not alone in being sick and tired of the nonsensical Russian hacking brouhaha. Give it a rest--please. The only ones still buying into it are brain-dead liberal zombies who take as gospel anything their various propaganda outlets spew out

Russian Hackety, Hackety, Hack

You brought this up [Russian hacking] and you act as if we all know this--and I don't think we do all know this, actually. ....What's this about? We all assume we know that Russia hacked the election, and I'm just asking why has not one person, not one explained exactly what that means. I'm getting very frustrated. I don't know what it means to hack an election. I don't know what they [the Russians] did that was so severe that you need to -- spy on the Trump campaign. -- Tucker Carlson-- Tucker Carlson Tonight"
Behind all of the liberal smoke 'n' mirrors, obfuscation, blah-blah-blah, yakety-yakety-yak about Russian hacking, there is no there there. It is a "nothing-burger" being frantically peddled as a yummy filet mignon ("Let us spoon feed it to you, you'll love it!"). No one is saying that Russians actually hacked US voting machines (although it would not tear globalists up to have such an implication mistakenly take root). The liberal narrative de jour is that they hacked the DNC and leaked (via WikiLeaks) confidential emails, and that affected the outcome of the election. Hmm....even supposing this were true (a wobbly supposition at best), it stills leaves the elephant in the room (not leaving much space for anything else really). The "elephant in the room" is what was revealed in those leaked emails. By focusing on who hacked the emails the Democrats are desperately trying to help bury what was in those emails. Along with delegitimizing the Trump Administration, another desired outcome of vociferously blaming the Russians is to throw up so much distracting chaff that the impact of the duplicity, lies, and other nefarious activities of the DNC, as exposed in the leaked emails, will be minimized, if not forgotten all together. Most of the media is, of course, doing all they can to assist in this endeavor.

It should also be noted that the "Russian hacking" fairytale is a fine example of the old leftist ploy of blaming your opponent for doing what you yourself are guilty of (e.g. see Podesta/Clinton/Russia connection). Blaming their opponent for their own misdeeds can accomplish two important things:
  1. it puts the opponent on the defensive
  2. it takes the spotlight, and heat, off of them. Neat trick if you can pull it off.
It's ironic that all of the real evidence of real money and real influence buying by the Russians relates to Democrats. --Newt Gingrich "All 'Real Evidence' of Russian Influence Points to Democrats "

Why Russia?

Some readers may wonder why the Democrats have made Russia the bad guy in all of this. Doesn't the Left love Russia? Well, they used to, back when it was the USSR, hellbent on communist world domination (globalism stripped of its bells and whistles). They even loved it after the fall of communism, when Russia was weak and fair game for globalist meddling, but then....along came Putin. Above all else, Putin loves "Mother Russia." He embodies much that globalists despise: nationalism, strong borders, and patriotism. In that sense, he and Trump are in the same boat--both are strong nationalists who believe in their respective country's exceptionalism and value. As such, both are being tarred with the same brush by globalists who find patriotism retardataire and abhorrent. Because both are strong nationalists, they are just as likely to butt heads as shake hands -- which is not to say that the USA and Russia are doomed to be in an adversarial relationship. Permit me to suggest that tact and diplomacy are called for, rather than saber rattling. I think Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is ideally suited for such a role.

Conclusion

Don't misunderstand me, I am all in favor of the USA being on good terms with as much of the world's population as possible, but I have been around the world three times in a rowboat and spoke to everyone at least once, and I'm here to tell you that although this world has its share of ineffable beauty it also has its share of horrific brutality. It is wise to be prepared to embrace the former or confront the latter at all times, both individually and as a country. Stabilizing and reinvigorating America's financial footing, reinforcing and modernizing our defensive structures, and getting our own house in order should be top priorities for the United States at this time in our history. I know I am not alone in being sick and tired of the nonsensical Russian hacking brouhaha. Give it a rest--please. The only ones still buying into it are brain-dead liberal zombies who take as gospel anything their various propaganda outlets spew out. The rest of us have moved on. Domestic spying has taken center stage these days.
