Pelosi 2020!

Pelosi on defense: 'I'm a master legislator' and 'worth the trouble'

As they're forced to acknowledge growing concerns about Nancy Pelosi's competence, many prominent Democrats have started calling for Nancy Pelosi to resign as House Minority Leader. Apparently, just because the woman presided over the collapse of their party, they think they can just toss her in the political dumpster with folks like Anthony Weiner. Well, they'd better think again. Nancy Pelosi is a national treasure and - as I said yesterday - we should all do our part to keep her right where she is. Fortunately, Pelosi seems ready for the fight. She's "paving the way for a new generation" or something, and she has no intention of letting a bunch of Democrat rabble-rousers kick her to the curb. Asked if she would be stepping down, she was resolute:
"We're paving a way for a new generation of leadership, and I respect any opinion that my members have. But my decision about how long I stay is not up to them.”
Yeah! That's the spirit! You tell 'em Nancy. You're not going anywhere. Still, reporters persisted and Pelosi was forced to defend herself.
“You want me to sing my praises? Well, I'm a master legislator. I am a strategic, politically astute leader. My leadership is recognized by many around the country, and that is why I'm able to attract the support that I do."
Her leadership was certainly recognized in the Ossoff race, we'll give her that. I'm not going to transcribe the entire Pelosi presser, but you should check it out below. It's "classic Pelosi." ...And by that, I mean it's rambling, barely coherent, filled with weird rhetoric, and punctuated with spectacular moments of delusion. Watch! As she tries to define the word "some"! Laugh! As she runs through her resume! Thrill! As she forgets it's her own party asking her to step down!
