Caitlyn Jenner looking to take Dianne Feinstein's Senate seat? Good!

That's right, it's conceivable (if unlikely) that we now live in a world where the next batch of freshmen Senators could conceivably feature Kid Rock and Caitlyn Jenner. ...And they would both be on the Republican side of the aisle. I don't know what, but surely that must be a sign of something. Jenner informed New York radio host John Catsimatidis that she is currently evaluating the extent of her future political activities, and deciding whether it would be wise to make a Senatorial run or better just to remain an activist. From The Hill:
“I have considered it. I like the political side of it,” Jenner, who is a Republican, told Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York. “The political side of it has always been very intriguing to me. Over the next six months or so, I gotta find out where I can do a better job. Can I do a better job from the outside? Kind of working the perimeter of the political scene, being open to talking to anybody? Or are you better from the inside, and we are in the process of determining that,” she said. “Yeah but I would look for a senatorial run,” she continued. Jenner told CNN's Don Lemon in April she would "seriously look at a run for office." Jenner has been a supporter of President Trump, but hit Trump earlier this year over his decision to roll back Obama-era protections for transgender students.

You'll recall that, prior to President Trump's success in the primaries, Jenner made liberal heads explode by supporting Ted Cruz. All eyes are currently on Dianne Feinstein's California Senate seat. She'll be up for re-election in 2018 and some strategists believe a certain type of Left-Coast-friendly Republican could take a race there. If the GOP could pull it off, it would be the first such win since 1992. Frankly, I'm all for this. Assuming the majority of Jenner's fiscal positions are in line with conservatives, and she can take the win, more power to her. If another Democrat takes Feinstein's seat, we know full well it will be a hard-left San Francisco liberal, so you could do a lot worse than a libertarian-leaning moderate Republican. You may not see eye-to-eye with Jenner on every issue, but overall it would be a big victory. As a bonus, you get to watch San Francisco liberals have an existential crisis as they search for reasons not to vote for the 'first transgender member of Congress.'
